This run was completed a few days after the 1:03 currently listed on the leaderboard.
Could a mod on SMO Category Extensions please add True Any% 2P in 1:02:06 by nedeahS and Ikkitrix? Didn't want to make a thread on the CE board just for this.
They do appear on the Boss List, though:
Granted, they're not on the same tier as King Dice himself, but they are tracked by the game, and fighting each one marks them off. They're not part of completion percent, but they can be "completed". So, you can't immediately regard them as King Dice "phases" the way you can say that about, for instance, each Root Pack member.
This thread isn't really about whether they can be argued to be not bosses, but whether it's ¤obvious¤ that they're not bosses. There's evidence either way - that they're large foes who must be beaten to exit their room, that their fights end with "Knockout", etc.
What's the difference between Simple All Bosses and Simple Any%, anyway? Aren't all the bosses mandatory until you reach King Dice, which is where the Simple route ends?
Anyway, I'm seeing people ask "why don't you do all the King Dice fights" pretty frequently in chats whenever runners get there, so unless we want this to keep being re-explained for the rest of the decade, a change is necessary.
Additional thought: if this category is "All Bosses", what would a theoretical category that does do all the King Dice fights be called? "All Bosses/Minibosses"?
People have noted that "All Bosses" allows not fighting all of the King Dice bosses, even though the game recognises them as bosses and tracks them on the equip screen's List (compare with a game like SOTN, which also has a boss list used for its All Bosses category)
Also, currently the only boss added to the run compared to Any% is The Devil, which also gives the Good Ending when fought.
To avoid having to provide an unintuitive definition of what is and is not a boss, I think "Good Ending" should be used for the name of this category.
