Yeah, cool trick. I dunno how far you need to go to trigger it. But it makes sense to just cut the gap as far as possible since it saves time.

Yeah, it was the first time finishing with the DJ hat and killing the boss quickly. There is a ton of room for improvement.

Yeah, it's really tricky. Works well if you are doing a single level run. But probably not worth it in a longer run.

Here is a run through Kaboom Quarry without losing the double jump hat.

I do the skip in a few places. Fastest run is at the end.

I think this is viable for Any% and All Stars.

This trick can be used to varying degrees on other bosses as well.

I also see that this is listed as a PC game. Do we need a separate game altogether for other platforms?

I recently found a strat for beating bosses much faster than intended.
