This is so fucking cool. Thank you very much for this. I'm absolutely sure i can't see all that happened there, and thus i would love to read about this run.
Really, you're awesome.
thought you were gonna create a new post - or at least describe the issue in better detail
Sorry about the platform thing. the sequel had them all listed, but this one didnt, although i was confident i had done such a small task back then. Oops.
Decided to do some comparison using the first video on that version that you submitted and the game doesn't run any faster than usual (compared to Hikaru's 2nd place) If i recall correctly, the thing you noted about the difficulty settings has been known for a while (since before this SR.C lb, really), but i don't think it has been written down anywhere. I invite anyone to do some more research and maybe make some documentation out of it.
I'll still keep an eye out for any differences regarding these new ports, and i hope everybody does so too

I was citing the verification part of the moderation rules
That has nothing to do with the order of the verification. In fact, im not sure how it is relevant for this topic at all. From the very same document: "Preferential treatment of any type (moving runs up in the verification queue, verifying runs that do not meet standards, etc) is forbidden, especially if associated with payment or favors. Failure to remain impartial may result in moderator removal."
Prioritizing faster times lets you verify slower ones quicker
How? All this does, as i said, is make so an older run has a higher chance of being verified after the twenty one day period.
3 Month Hiatus, I found similar issues that go back years before this current hiatus
You have explicitly pointed out most times i went over the suggested twenty one day verification period (if not every single one of them). I have no idea why you're using that to make a point.
--//--
If i go over the twenty one day verification period again, all one has to do is contact me on one of my available social media links. I am flawed. I'll probably fail again. I'll stop answering this post, considering it didn't had any significant development, but i'll keep an eye out. If you're unhappy with my answer, and you're still keen on your objectives, i suggest contacting the MegaMan mods, or maybe even SR.C themselves.
This is really unexpected for me after our little exchange in private, but here we go...
Another part of the Moderator guidelines is to prioritize runs claiming to be 1st place
I'll focus on this point because it infuriates me the most. There is no such guideline for this (in fact, it's the opposite!) and, even if there was, i would still verify runs by submission order. Had i verified you before the oldest runs, someone else would come in here and point out to me the five or six times i dropped the ball. You're not special. You've been in this community for eight days. Chill.
Instead I would like to offer help in the event there may be another time where the current Moderator might need to step away for a while.
Had this been the case we would've conversated privately.
There seems to be a history of gaps of inactivity.
What you don't know is that, in my three month hiatus, twelve runs were posted. In the past two weeks alone (which i had been verifiably active), thirteen new runs were submitted. As of this very moment, nine runs are yet to be verified. Five of them belong to you, and they still are the most recent runs, as i've told you in private.

As it stands, it is not necessary to include any new moderators for the leaderboards. This is a very small community that mostly attract one-and-done hobbyists or the recurring two or three runners that post runs twice a month at most. I have already personally apologized for runners who had awaited the most and, as i have already pointed out, i am verifying an amount of runs every day for the past two (nearly three) weeks now.
This was very, very unecessary.
OP had contacted me several times back then, and i had already pointed out that i had not rejected any of their runs. They would know if they were rejected, and they would know why. Second, i have never deleted a single run off of the LBs.
But i have just figured out why non-Mega Man runs were not showing: it was selected as the default value when a run is submitted, and i was not aware it would exclude other runs from appearing the leaderboards, as that information is not written anywhere in there. Anyway, that is fixed.
I plead you all to spread this information and, possibly, contact SRC about it.
@Liv Thank you! Hope you dont bother helping me with this last question: is it possible to have a subcategory with a different player count?
Im just trying to
(wait for it)
save some time
@theripper999 well, good you point that out. Some of the runs submitted by this one guy ( @ShinkenX ) completely glitched out and im not able to get them in the LBs, even tho i verified and modified them (added "solo" to the runs).
Huh, so, i kinda f*cked up.
I found a way to do so (hooray!), but i "lost" some runs that were submitted in the past. They are still in the website (otherwise i wouldnt be able to "save" some runs that i have the link to in my browse history), but i cant get to them.
help
Edit: I only did so to the first game. Its literally impossible to commit this mistake twice!
Hello there! So, i mod two games, and recently a coop run has been submitted to both of them. Rookie mistake: i dont have a coop leaderboards set up. Is there a way i can change them in a way i dont have to delete a category and, consequentially, their runs?
I wanna have "Solo" and "Co-Op" as the main categories and have the current categories as subcategories. Any way i can do that?
The lbs: https://www.speedrun.com/Mega_Man_The_Power_Battle https://www.speedrun.com/Mega_Man_2_The_Power_Fighters
I mean, simply adding a frase like "If the game is a part of a series that is already present in the website, contact the series mod first" would be perfect, and doesnt seem time consuming to me.
I really appreciate every volunteer in this website. Some years ago, i wouldnt ever guess speedrunning would become this popular and wide. Its definitely a challenge to manage something like this.
And i kind of pay attention, even though i have only started posting in the forums recently.
Welp, requests withdrawn.
And sorry for dragging this post for this long, but i have one last question before (maybe) contacting the series mod.
Is there any point in creating the leaderboards in here? I know that usually that kind of website share the same games with speedruncom, but i dont really get why.
Edit: In 2 games with 3 completely different courses each, any% seems extremely pointless to me (In the second game, character pick also matters). A change could be done there, in the least.
Really? Well, a warning wouldve been nice... I guess im gonna wait for my request to be seen anyway, im not dying desperate for it. But hey, thanks for the heads up!
Oh, and "Series moderators may also add games to complete a series" is kind of not a warning.
https://www.speedrun.com/statistics
You wouldnt believe how many games get added per WEEK
But they are part of a series (Well, technically, a subseries. And they are the only 2.), i couldve submitted them as that at first. If i could change the request, i would ask, in the additional notes, for the sequel to be added aswell.
but as i type this, i start to realize that maybe they wouldnt accept it, being so informal anyway, i made the request for the second game a few days ago, this post doesnt matter anymore
The point was not taking the line all over again, but i guess there is no escape
Last friday i made a request to add a leaderboards to the site (for Mega Man: The Power Battle) that hasnt been verified yet and i wanna know if theres any way to make a slight change in the submission to maybe get leaderboards for the sequel aswell. By the time i made the submission, i had not played the sequel. (sorry if im sounding cold blooded!)
