Agreed with DiscInfiltrator - this won't achieve anything close to competition or entertainment as you think it will, especially when you consider:

A) only the first 5 spots on a leaderboard matter in points
B) top-level speedrunners are all friendly and don't care about that competition

It's an interesting idea (that tbf has already been done before - Tim made a "Frog Champions" leaderboard last year), but don't be surprised if it's just not interacted with much, sorry to say.

Coming from personal experience of having attempted 360 Dashing Any% twice, there are also a few things from a speedrunning lens that are a bit difficult to deal with:

- Essentially, any entity that requires activation from a down dash do not react well to 360 dashes. I experienced numerous instances of trying to dash down on swap blocks or Kevins, and ended up with some form of reverse because you're not "technically" dashing straight down. This resulted in a lot of misdirects and deaths. Buttons also have similar issues.

- Red bubbles move in whatever direction you're holding once the bubble decides to start moving. I assume that with enough practicing or labbing, it could work in your favor. However, I oftentimes found their trajectory very difficult to predict, and they tended to do more harm than good. Additionally, non-cardinal dashes out of red bubbles have different types of trajectory and speed then cardinal dashes, which became problematic for certain rooms in Temple, particularly ones with lots of spikes or wigglybros.

- Supers of all kinds (reversed, extended) can just not happen due to the 360-ness of the whole thing. If your dash is just over the ground, you don't get snapped to the floor, so your dash refresh never happens.

I think it has cool potential, but yeah, that and the difficulty in moderating input displays makes it a really hard sell for the leaderboards. But I DID have a lot of fun playing it. There's nothing stopping you from doing an official unofficial leaderboard similar to what kivov did with Super Dash and other categories!

Celeste Category Extensions

Recently, a glitch was found in Farewell that allows the player to keep two dashes from Start until the end of Determination. Here's a video showing both parts of the skip, as performed by Zkad: https://youtu.be/PmT5C9guycc

With the discovery of this skip, some changes have been made to the Celeste SRC leaderboards. IL speedruns of Farewell (both Clear and Moon Berry categories) are now split into two sub-categories: Unrestricted and No DTS.

The reasoning for making this split is that this skip fundamentally changes how much of the level is played, so we wanted to provide leaderboards for each way you can play the level. That being said, we will revisit this change in 3-6 months to see if one or both of these two splits can be undone due to inactivity of any of the four sub-categories.

Fullgame categories that play farewell allow the use of the glitch and their leaderboards were not split. Some reasoning contributing to that decision is that the skip affects a much smaller portion of the run. Because the scope of the skip is narrower in the context of a fullgame speedrun, it's more comparable to a routing choice that a player makes when learning the category, instead of running a largely different category—much like the options in Temple and Reflection for Any%.

One final note: the Unrestricted sub-categories are currently only for runs that successfully perform the second part of the skip, meaning any runs completed with the infinite height glitch which fail to preserve 2 dashes will be put on the No DTS board. This is an edgecase reserved mostly for IL PB's in fullgame runs that fail the skip and elect to continue, so it's open to change, but this was chosen because it seemed silly to punish the use of a glitch that amounts to timeloss.
