Details for the rules look good! I only know of the 15 cases, so I'm gonna go ahead and verify this~

Ahh, I can understand disliking it. I don't really know any rules for speedrunning practice where glitches require prior set-up. First time I got it, I had no idea how it happened. Thought I'd submit the run anyway, but expected it to be rejected 'cause I had no explanation for how it occurred, but it was accepted as it had happened to other players.

So I'm not sure how we'd categorise it with there already being a glitch run, unless we reevaluate it as part of HAP-skip runs, just so we have a category that completes HO the fastest way possible?

On that note, I'm still trying to consider how No Sequence Breaks would work. I imagine it to be similar to All Cases, but I'm also uncertain about how the e-mails should be taken into account for that sort of category. Would it be preferred for NSB runs to keep the Y2K Mindcrash cutscene? I was playing around with it a bit before being swamped with schoolwork, but I'll have to revisit what I was routing when I can.

I watched this the other day when Mike posted it on Twitter - watched again just now too, and I'm personally happy with the use of HAP skip in this run. The cases were all closed, and that's the main thing - not as if we need those final e-mails, ahaha. If K3W3L's happy with those points too, I'll throw the category up, 'cause I'd like to see this on the board~ If they don't get a chance in a couple days, I'll do so anyway.

As for Alt+F4, it's common speedrunning practice to skip segments in this way, or by quitting to menu, so I'd be happy if it were applied to all the other categories from here on out. Would everyone else be content with that too?

Cheers, man! And thanks again for explaining the glitch!

Aye, yeah, 'cause then it's pretty invalidated. I was looking into a No Sequence Breaks run just to make some notes, and that glitch seems to apply to all versions of Outlaw - when it's used on the first version, it actually keeps speeding the game up through the first time skip and HypnOS start-up, then the game goes back to normal once the desktop's back.

Yo man, thanks so much for this! It worked when I tested this out for myself, so I'm assuming the click-spam carried over from a previous save? I'm gonna give that a try next.

As long as everyone's happy for it to be a legal move, with a way other people can actually replicate it, it's gonna make the game go faster!

I've been a little unsure about the 'Full Party' thing for the raids. Do we HAVE to have 8 players? By extension, does that mean the raids have to be sync'd? 'Cause unfortunately I don't really know 8 people who are that interested in running the old content.

I've been hoping for these to be changed to solo, co-op and sync'd, like the general dungeons. Whether they get listed as the full raid tier or individually doesn't really matter to me, but I'm just hoping the raids themselves have more accessible speedrunning options soon.

Those rules seem fair. I can understand not using buffs that aren't available to all players, I didn't really consider that. I'll figure out my routing again to accommodate.

I was about to start a run myself, but it includes the Road to 60 buff, 2 delivery moogle items and some unsync'd dungeon runs (no friends, just PF). I'm not used to long speedruns and am unsure how to handle food/bathroom/sleep patterns, so I thought they'd really help with time.

If it's an MMO with extensive time needed to level, is it really that big of a deal to go faster like this? If the category was established with some rules, it would make it easier to route this sort of thing at least.

Awesome, man! GG! I'm gonna try and watch a good chunk of this for some inspiration eventually once I get working internet in a couple weeks. I'm curious about how you handle non-controllable things (like wait times) - I look forward to checking it out.

Oh man! I've just started working on an MSQ ARR% run over the past couple days. Should've checked these forums beforehand. But I was kinda hoping the mods would consider adding MSQ runs to the board, 'cause I've been having a lot of fun routing mine and have wanted to do it for a while now. But I'm not sure what it would entail rule-wise.

I was considering routing mine all the way through to end-ARR, right before HW, but maybe I should start with ending at Praetorium.

What's a segmented run, though?

Alright...! http://www.speedrun.com/Dropsy/guide/sjmp2 I hope this is kinda what you're looking for, but please let me know if nothing makes sense, or if you were after some other information regarding the run. This here's got a brief tl;dr and a full walkthrough.

I can write an Any% guide up - I'll put it together as fast as I can and stick it in the Guides page. It'd be my take on the route currently, but I hope it'll do for the time being (and I'll try not to add anything too unnecessary). (Also, I think I may have hit the timer a second or two too late, oops~ But what's done is done.) (Also, Grunkle Stan is bae.)

If anyone has any ideas for new categories or rules (or anything related to Dropsy speedruns whatsoever), let me know what you think here - I'll take everything into account!

Thanks anyone! I hope we can build up a speedrunning community for this wonderful game~
