I'm just getting into running this game, and the switch inline version is the only version I own. As far as I know it runs in 60 FPS, and all the glitches work. Since it's just an emulator running the ROM, I don't see why it shouldn't be accepted.
I will make a short tutorial video on how to perform certain tricks soon
I've spent a lot of time with this game, and I've made some pretty huge discoveries. The first thing I've found is that you can use WASD, arrow keys, or number pad to move, and using all three at the same time can allow you to move 3 spaces at once. Also, if you have multiple keyboards, you can increase the number almost infinitely! The potential here is really insane. Not to mention the glitches that I have previously mentioned.
Next point: Restrictions. With all this potential, comes a lot of restrictions. One being, if more categories are added, it will be impossible to tell what someone is using with only game capture. To properly enforce rules, irl video would have to be required to confirm how many people are running, how many keyboards, etc.
Final point: New categories. I would suggest the following categories to be added. -Glitchless With the new glitches discovered, a category for runs not using the glitches would be fun. -Two Player With two people playing, one on mouse and one on keyboard, I was able to get 4.95 seconds with my friend. This shows more potential for what can be done. -One control Of course the name can be improved, but the basic idea would be to only use one set of controls, either WASD, arrow keys, or number pad.
Conclusion. This is all I have to say right now. I would love to know if anyone here is actually serious about running this game. If not, then I would love to know. If anyone here is serious about this game and my discoveries, please message me on discord if you would like to discuss the game.
is no one active here? I halved the wr and nobody cares lol
UPDATE II: Run submitted! I hope this gets accepted, so everyone can know about this glitch!
UPDATE: Major glitch is reliable! I have found a few major glitches, the one of which allows the first level to be skipped! new run with this glitch will be submitted tonight.
when in the starting screen, i clicked into the start game warp by accident, and when I clicked again it was at the end of the first level, and instead of moving to the end at a normal pace, I was teleported instantly to the end of lvl 1. this could save a lot of time, and I will try to recreate this glitch on video soon.
sounds good, I'll check tomorrow to see when the discord gets put in resources
Okay, nice. You should make a discord server for this game to make discussions more frequent and easier
I submitted a run, the section I'm talking about is at 10:00 in my video. another difference I noticed is when you get up after the floor after this part, in my game only one hand is robotic, and in your run both hands are robotic. At this point I'm certain that there are two versions. Where did you get the game?
After watching your run, I noticed that you stopped the timer after hitting the button. In my run I stopped the timer after the end game title card. I would like to suggest making it a rule to stop at this title card, to make things more organized for future runs, and to make runs more comparable.
On the tower (or platforms) how did you skip to the next area before doing the puzzles?
I wanna start running this game, any tips to get started?
I found a disc on ebay for $9, a little more than I was hoping but worth it to be able to start running this game!
