In the any% route, after password skip you enter dark ff and savewarp.

I was messing around with item sliding on the boat and managed to clip out of the boat and land INSIDE dark ff, completely avoiding having to go to pirate ship.

Just wanted to share, I'm going to try and come up with a more consistent method.
