It's surprisingly easy to do but still pretty weird, as it makes Kid ignore ceilings while keeping collisions with walls. I couldn't find a way to go over the main room's walls either, despite letting Kid go upwards for half an hour. Furthermore, even if we could make our way into the attic, there is no telescope here or anywhere else inside the spaceship, as they only load once you get enough time pieces and activate the corresponding room. The only thing that's loaded inside the ship are the two time rifts, so maybe it could lead to accessing them early but I don't think we could get anything more.

Here are some small things I found :

First, it is possible to skip the beginning of Conductor's epilogue version of the studios, simply by walking in a hole lacking collisions. You can also walk to the left from that hole but I didn't find anything interesting there (and it's kind of easy to fall outside of the death barrier thus softlocking the game)

As shown in the video, if an item disappears while Kid's holding it she will get stuck carrying an invisible item. For some reason she can double jump in that state, and even attack with her umbrella (not at first, probably after triggering some animation first). Most likely useless though.

Hello, After learning the tricks and successfully completing my first any% run on an emulator I wanted to try running on my Wii.

Problem is, I have a softmodded 4.3E pal Wii and for some reason the Japanese/US wads still run at 50Hz, which means sound is distorted, timings are weird and obviously the run is 17% slower. How would I go making this into a playable 60Hz rate ? I've heard about region changing my whole console, but honestly if there was an easier, per-game, method I'd prefer that than risking a brick.

Thanks in advance.

You're welcome. Here's the link for CC3 skip :

14 deaths is the minimum I got, which means you'd need some food in a speedrun to take the 7 hearts of damage. I used harpy up there because it was easier, but it can probably be done with monkey too.

Actually while trying to reproduce this I discovered it's way easier to get OoB ABOVE the stage.

All you have to do is to die a bunch of times in monkey form and you'll respawn higher and higher until you can eventually walk on the stage's ceiling. You can use shantae's dances this way too, and flying in harpy form allows you to discover some hidden beta rooms. It's slower and requires a lot of health though (you can get hit by a beetle before dying to loose only 1/4 of a heart each time but you'll still need a pretty big amount of hearts), but it makes testing stuff easier.

Here are some pictures I made, sorry or the poor quality but upload from my switch doesn't work for some reason : https://imgur.com/gallery/tyFyo

Edit: It's possible to skip act 3 of cape cerulean this way (it's also kind of easy since the loading zone is just on the ceiling), footage is uploading. Also, for some reason in CC 1&2 and HB2 this doesn't seem to work (spawn height looks set for the first two and you can't get high enough for the latter). Which leaves only TT3, RH2&3 and CC3 where you can walk on ceilings, of which it seems only in CC3 you can hit a loading zone to advance the game.

That definitely looks like it, which means pausing is at fault rather than un-dancing ?

I have some footage of what happens after triggering it, waiting for it to upload and I'll show you a link.

Though I guess if there's no way to activate a loading zone there's not much point to it. If it can work with a transformation maybe harpy dance could be interesting ?

Hi,

This happened in Tassel Town, right after the tower climbing section. Basically I fell while in the monkey form, got bit by those blue beetles right before the death barrier then mashed the dance button which untransformed me. I paused during the untransformed animation and put my console in sleep mode (I own the game on the Switch), and when I resumed it a few hours later Shantae fell a bit but didn't die.

In this state Shantae basically walks at the bottom of the stage, probably below the beetles spawn since she can't get bit by them. You can use magic and whip but can't dance. Screen transitions where the screen scrolls are fine though if you let the stick go during the process Shantae will go back and forth between both screens (probably because she doesn't do the walking animation that puts her out of the scrolling transition). Loading zones can't be triggered, you just walk past them as far as you want but nothing happens.

Just putting it here in case someone finds a use out of it.
