ChileDon't use that autosplitter, use the one in the edit splits menu, make sure to remove the one you manually downloaded.
That said, yeah you need a launch command, you can set it up in the steam properties like this:

- NG+ Mode (in the autosplitter settings)

Hey, I'm the one who asked for that to be added to the game actually, I never expected that to be part of the patch notes with so much detail since nobody will understand what it means but me lol, but anyway...
With this update I can implement into the autosplitter an update to read the stuff that's in the update easily, which will mainly be used to read the IGT directly from the game and use it in the "Game Time" comparison inside LiveSplit, and also will improve the accuracy of the final split for full game when completing CTOP. I can also eventually make an IL mode now that splits in rooms and reads the level IGT instead of the file IGT.

Controller can be weird like that, a way to make it always work is using the steam controller config to press a keyboard key that's set to split.
That said, why are you splitting manually? There is an autosplitter in the "edit splits" menu, and I also made one with more custom options for ILs in case you are interested.
That's exactly what splicing means yes, even if it's the same run. For the leaderboards you are supposed to do the entire run nonstop from start to finish.
The splits and the autosplitter are different things, you can enable it in the "edit splits" menu of livesplit as long as the game name is correct.

There could be good reasons to add NMG/Lagless to other leaderboards but those reasons are not it, that's like saying that the leaderboard is unfair to people that don't want to sprint in runs because they don't like watching hat kid sprinting. It's your choice to do a strat or not.
That said, the main reason there's not NMG in ATP is because there is no interest in it, there's no point in adding a leaderboard if only 1 person is gonna be there. If you really want to do NMG strats in ATP you can try to beat my base ATP run that I did for the memes some time ago:
Not sure what guide you're referring to, but i just tested it and op is right, the original way of downloading depots with the steam console is working again, no external programs needed. The downpatch guide i could find here recommends the beta tab (it only has 2 patches) or using a external downpatcher / depot downloader, they aren't needed anymore.

Hello I am the dev of the autosplitter, yeah when the game updates it breaks and I haven't had a lot of time lately to fix it. With the way I do it, it takes some time to "find" the stuff I use to make the autosplitter work. You can expect the IGT at least to be working again in the upcoming days, auto splits might be harder to fix.
