I was wondering about an interesting thread that could be interesting... So I created it ! Basically, it is just to see how far a speedrun can take on your life . I saw some thread talking about "Speedgames you run/ran" but i think it is even more interesting to know how much you focus on the speedgame.
Just put the game you ran the most and add some statistics that could be cool to see... How many hours did you run it, since when, the number of attempts, your final goal (if you have one), how many runs did you finish, is your run optimized, maybe your sum of best. You can also add some fun facts you had when you were running the game... You can also say, if you want, the number of games you ran, for how many years you are running games etc... I'm also doing this because as you can see speedrunstats.com looks dead, so i think this thread can do the job ! SeemsGood
For me, the game i ran the most is a stupid flash game called "Free Running 2" I basically tried to find strats with a friend for, at least 50 hours and my Livesplit is saying me that i ran the game for 30 hours now. The first run i did of the game was like 6 month ago now and the WR was 12:20... It was a long time ago. 4Head My PB (10:17) is actually very bad for the number of attempts i have (over 1100 for 40 finished), but this is because the route is always improving when i quit the game... My final goal should be sub 10 now. I know i can do it easily. I just never have the courage to get back on the game.
Ok, so i did an unofficial 4h07 pb but i was wondering what i was missing to be that far to the WR. I did 7 completed run of the game and my SoB is at 3h56... I know i'm already loosing tons of time on the earlygame, example : Magikilo is finishing Bam Bam Club at 45mn, and i finish it at 48 most of the time... But i watched the WR twice and saw the old Champloo guide and i'm still wondering how can i save that ammount of time. Also, i still don't know how to do a fight trick you are all using. The trick where you take the guy and break his head on the table and you manage to take him another time just after to finish the guy... But my main question is "What am i missing, guys?" Kappa I suck at video games, ok, but do you think i'm that bad to be so far from the rekky? WutFace
Wtf... Like, what is wrong with my 6:19 you can find here : ? You said me i was doing a glitch (cube clipping?) at 5:55 but it is actually the only way to get this cube because he is glitched anyway... I don't know if you are talking about that, but if yes, just explain better. That makes me even more frustrating that a glitch is authorized in glitchless but apparently a non-glitch isn't. I want more explanations because i don't understand.
Ok thank you, for this long answer... I'm gonna watch your PB :) If you are streaming, i'll try to be here too, that could be nice ! Btw, for the OoB setup on cozy canyon it can be a lot more faster, with just doing a "mario 64" jump (if you know what i mean), it saves 1 second and i'm absolutely sure it is faster to do it by this way. One of my friend is gonna run the game probably, he knows the setup better than me :)
I did another route on my pb, which skip some dialogues and save some time, unfortunately i think that with this route it's hard to get 250 coins before The Puzzle tower etc...
And by the way, if someone saw a part of my run, if he has any tips, just share to me :)
Finally, a question : If i do a really good time on a level, i record it but the time isn't on the official leaderboards, will the run be accepted on speedrun.com?

I just got an idea... But i don't know if it's a good one. It seems cool in my head. So i think it should be great by typing "/us" or any other country's abbreviation after the name of the game to see the leaderboards with users only from US :) The link for Super Mario Sunshine Any% with only US runners would be "speedrun.com/sms#Any1/us", for example. ^^

We thought about the Glitchless category with Coldy and we think it would be good to add it on the categories of the game. By this way, Jump Boost and others glitches won't be authorized and that would considerably help some runners to get, at least, a good time on the Glitchless category :) Thanks in advance.

Some of these aren't bots ... "DomingoBrogan" for example, seems to be not a bot. Why it would be? Just because he posted nothing?
