Yeah, I feel like if that trick is the only advantage of Any%, I'd just ban it from Any% and make a separate category where it's allowed or something.
But also, the way you rearranged it now seems fine. Since everyone's running Single Segment anyways, might as well make it the main category.
Also I feel like I need to apologize for questioning the Categories of a random Speedrun Board I don't have intentions of running. I just talked with someone recently, who was streaming the game, and got somewhat curious about the speedrun times.
See, that was what I was thinking too... If The only difference between Any% and Single Segment is using Passwords to continue after Game Over, and it's anyways faster to not Game Over...
Wouldn't Single Segment be the most efficient Any% run anyways? Like, as far as I understand it, there is no speed advantage to choosing Any%. Which also means the restriction in Single Segment is redundant (since the fastest Any% run would always follow Single Segment rules too)
Yeah, pretty much what it says on the tin.
It feels weird seeing so many different categories for a game that is barely run, and even weirder seeing only one of those categories actually run. So what's the difference between them?
