You also should have a proper timer on screen next time around. That's traditionally required. Timer also starts once press start on title screen ends on last bomb to the noggin of Pete. :D

Crystal forest is my big reset point as well, occasionally sunken ruins if I miss a jump. The run is pretty much safe after that. I usually don't bork something on illusion garden or the boss fights. I will say missing a bomb in Pete fight is annoying though!
Really? Never have had that happen before. My weakness is optimizing Crystal forest, and Suken Palace. So on another note, what do yall think is the worst level of this run? Crystal forest is my vote, hands down.
Hmm. I would be all for it, but this game doesn't exactly have a lot of activity. I think you, and now Kate are the only ones of us semi-active right now with this game.
Oh hey! Someone else is taking on this game! Yo. I have noticed this with the barrel as well and I try (not always successfully) to pull it off in a run. I have also been trying to run this watching the previous runs for tips and tricks. the damage boost in the start of Forest is one I have yet to pull off.
Trying to learn this game. Would running it with bizhawk be acceptable? Game gear port. Trying to break in too speedrunning platformers, and loved this game as a kid.
