At this point I'm fairly certain it won't be faster that way, however, I've found that using it to either reach the first corner of the boost or the diagonal part may be. It'll still be barely faster tho. If going straight to second booster is faster, you'd still have to have an insanely good start, which would probably be better used on a solid end rather than on a pretty random bounce. Maybe we can revisit this if it gets super optimised.
Got a pretty close attempt, can still get more speed there tho. Likely is possible but not sure if it'd be faster.
I am yet to get a bounce high enough to reach second boost, but I believe it may be possible with enough speed going into it and getting lucky on the bounces.
You do this by just taking as much speed into it as possible and going head first into the corner as low as possible, then turning left while busy bonking to point upwards.
Tbh I never actually realised you get a speed upgrade after loveless lmao, but I certainly will!
It may only save a few seconds, but that's seconds saved nevertheless.
Unfortunately, I've never ran this game and do not have a capture card, however I did find a skip that may be useful to you. In the last room with the three windows needing to be shot out, if you stick to the bottom of the elevator and move along once it gets right to the bottom, you'll clip through the floor a little and get pushed all the way to the right and out of the room, completely skipping that room. The camera will follow you, too.
It'd be interesting to find out why this happens so we could avoid the glitch, but I neither have access to nor the ability to understand the code.
I'm unsure to the cause of this glitch now that the recreation obviously shows that I wasn't right next to the wall. It's just something to look out for and instantly restart on when playing this level.
After recreating the glitch, I can confirm that this does absolutely nothing for the player. It just serves as something to fuck up your run. I'll post the link to the video once it uploads.
Something I've realised that's happened multiple times to me on this map is that I go through the checkpoint/finish line and it doesn't count you as having gone through. I think that the line doesn't extend all the way to the wall, so if you're too close to the wall, you end up passing around the track line instead of through. However, as I'm writing this, I've just had the thought that if you do get this, you could possibly turn around, go back through the line, then turn around again to skip an entire lap.
