Due to the large number of run submissions to the Rec Room speedrun.com page [https://www.speedrun.com/rec_room], we are looking for 2-3 more people to help verify runs. If anyone is interested, please send me a direct message on Discord (Rocko#8625). After you send me a message, I will send you three random links to rejected runs and you will have to spot the reason for why each run submission was rejected. After doing this your name will be added to our list and in a few weeks we will select the new users to help verify runs.

Yes, I prefer all or none when it comes to verification. I want it as simple as possible so people who do want to participate do not have to read a book of rules.

For the non glitches category was is everyone's thoughts and feelings on people who cut corners on teleport? I.E. in GT when they stick their hand in the wall and cut through.

My gut says it is a 'no' since the act 3 levels utilizes the same basic principles of it to skip a whole level.

@Fusi I'll go back sometime in the next month or so and verify the boss room. I did notice looking through the document history that I did have Ghost Beard set at 10,000 points but changed it. It also looks like the document was created around April 6, 2019.

I know I added the two new juggers but I'm still unsure if I removed the bottler from act 2. I think I did but haven't been motivated enough to fix it.

I don't trust soloing and comparing the scores. I tried that in other quests and the act totals would be off and I would tear my hair out trying to figure out the difference and I think in the end the game was just duping kills even though I was alone.. Just the terrible buggy nature of Rec Room. Since then I have resulted into watching two or three solos by separate people and just counting and then comparing both sets to see if they match and usually they did.

@Fusi Here is where 7.75 deaths comes from. Feel free to check my numbers! There are two sheets on the file. The first is just ILS enemies per act and the second is how I determined where the S rank border was. Let me know if you have any questions.

I think there should still be Any%, S% (or S+% for Crescendo. Just whatever the highest rank possible in the quest is) and Glitchless. I think there is still value in the fastest Any% vs S or S+ percent.

We are not doing Stunt Runner since it has its own leaderboard system which is displayed in game. There is also another person who has a SR page for it so I am not going to step on their toes.

I don't oppose Disc Golf but right now we have had maybe two people ask about it? It just does not seem to have enough people behind it to make it a thing.

I don't disagree that I would like some change but I'm not sure how to go about it. Looking at the current leaderboards almost all records have been beat within the last year through two weeks ago which is well inside the time frame of when the teleport delay was increased.

@Fusi, If Rec Room was not an early access game that sustained minimal changes to overall game play it would be much easier to run and regulate this site. Right now any update Rec Room releases could totally break the game for months on end and result in a patch a year later.. How do we weather that? Do we just reject all runs that use the changes and claim them as unintended when the devs themselves implemented the changes? Right now it feels like the site should get deleted every time a new Rec Room update is released.

My biggest problem with changing the categories (which were laid out long before I had access to making changes) is that it tends to break a lot of things (I broke the page for a few days trying to monkey with stuff =]). I would hate to just delete the existing categories and lose out on all of the historical runs.

Xbox runs will fall under screen mode since it is the only way to play the game on the console. They are absolutely allowed =]

Rec Room's latest update "Events Improved" should address the majority of AI problems.

This is the fun of speedrunning a game that has been in "Early Access" for 4 years and counting! =]

Please be safe while speed running. Standing on a chair or stool sounds dangerous. If a player's height seems altered in a major way the run may be rejected.

There is quite a bit of back story into how the 4 of us became moderators on the speed run site which many of you may not know and while we are moderators I don't think we even have the ability to appoint new/remove inactive moderators (D9ner/MsKitty refused to hand this over). Like most things this is completely voluntary and most of us have jobs or families which come first and foremost. There has been a great influx in runs over the last 6 months and we have worked to keep verifying them.

At our start we made the rules lax and figured we would add to them as things occurred.. I.E. the use of the recalibration tool in CBM runs. While the rules are still rather lax it is not impossible for them to be amended. I would say it is however a near impossible task to go back through and remove each run which had previously been verified but now breaks a newly implemented rule. If you notice a run was verified but the time was incorrect or a old run breaks newly implemented rules then feel free to reach out to one of us and we can handle the issue.

While it would make sense to have several of you as moderators it would also lead to a conflict of interest. The reason the 4 of us were appointed as moderators at the same time was to mitigate that conflict of interest.

Because stunt runner has its own time based leader board we have elected to not include it on the Rec Room speed run site.

This is a VR game so players of all heights play this game. I don't see a small height difference to lower times significantly. Obviously if there are altercations to the player via external programs the run will be rejected since it violates the rules.

I guess you could call it a conflict of interest, but honestly I and even Boethiah enjoy speed running and would be willing to maintain the speedrun.com page for Rec Room quests in an unbiased manner.
