I said I'm willing to obey the rules, I just wanted to know why the rules are in place as a curious new runner, is that an issue? So as I've stated before, I will be disabling these mods. One more thing-- I always used a fullbright skybox instead of 5.0 gamma because I still like caves to be dark, it's just outside that I always want bright. If I cannot have this then I simply will just submit runs with the default lighting and no options edits. (Wait, why can't we change lightmaps in vanilla?)
I'll admit I should clarified I was curious about the rules as well as looking for answers. I'm about cleared up now. I actually already looked at why OF was banned before so I didn't ask specifically about it. It messes with stuff in the game that changes the way the game works in such a way Sodium will not.
Maccysundae - Only the Jelly Squid mods are allowed (Sodium, Lithium and Phosphor)
I'm curious -- What gives this mod creator a pass? Is there a reason why the other ones aren't allowed? I'm okay with disabling the other mods that aren't JellySquid but it's a little weird to me those mods are okay while other mods that are seemingly just as cosmetic are banned, supposedly because of who made them?
MehmoTheReal -- zoom isn't allowed in 1.0-1.15
Okay, I'll disable it. Why though?
I use Fabric and Sodium. I just downloaded it because it's better than OptiFine and OF got banned anyways. I know Sodium is A-OK so I'll ask about my other mods on the list. I use 4 mods to replace OF's features. They are:
LambDynamicLights - It's in the name, take a wild guess Mod Menu - It's required for the above to work WI Zoom - Take a guess Colormatic - Used for a fullbright skybox resource pack I made, similar to how Dream has it, where the sky is always bright like daytime but everything else (except the Nether) is lit normally.
Can I submit runs under this list or am I going to need to remove some of these? None of these to my knowledge modify gameplay at all, just how it's viewed & rendered. If they interfere with the game in a way that's not allowed, or just not allowed anyways, please let me know.
