AFAIK no, i remember seeing on run potentially year ago, but i can no longer find it. Best bet would be to use the PSP route on the iOS version, and quicksave abuse during encounters/boss fights that go wrong. Theres an FF3 Speedrun Discord which has a lot of the current runners in there, probably the best place to ask any questions, albeit most of us are seemingly unfamiliar with iOS speedrun

Hey there! I see this. Your best bet is to join the Final Fantasy Speedruns Discord, alongside that the second best thing is to join the Final Fantasy X/X-2 discord (which you can get to via the FFSR Discord) and questions are more likely to be answered there, You can @ me there as Stephen - Rhyderrr and ill be able to see what the issue is thats causing them to attack too fast :)

For PC its slightly better to use G to lower and H to increase in the case of standard battles so that you mash G so monsters dont start attacking. If youre fast and ATB's are nice to you then you can escape without them attacking, however this is slightly more tricky on controller. Just a reccomendation. its still R3/L3 regardeless tho :)

Probably PC Any% if anything. Theres no steam category cause theres no route, though i think the PSP route would transfer over fine into the PC port. The only issue with PC is that it would be super slow ( 8-9 hours maybe longer ) because of no auto battle or hard glitches like DS/PSP 3D ports.

Sorry for the long reply :) Feel free to find me on somewhere and message me if you need any more info as i would be happy to help,

Also just to add on.

FF3DS uses NG>CoD flash for their final split. Just maybe something to take into consideration

ScotlandRhyderrr7 years ago

Something for the mods to decide but as we know JP does NG>Fin transition for FF3PSP

Not sure what timing method you guys are wanting to use for FF3PSP since most of the runs done will be in Eng as far as im aware.

NG>CoD flash or NG>Fin transition

Obviously Fin transition is longer since you need to sit through credits etc as per JP runs do but im just wondering before i go on to do my run. It would also help as i could then put into the notes when to final split

It will be made yes now that you have a run done, just ask one of the mods

Just a question before i start running FF3PSP. Will emulator be accepted in the category as my streamgear doesnt look like it will be arriving until Late Jan-Mid Feb and im wanting to have some runs finished and submitted over the next week or two

As of the last month (lets say around December 2016) the leader boards aren't being updated handled very well. Augora has stated she will not be accepting/rejecting runs which we all know. That leaves it down to Dsharper and CaracarnVi, however with both work and streams, the leader boards seem to have fallen behind and runs are being set to pending for days on end now. Its sad because we are starting to build up an active community especially on the HD leader boards with PC being so popular. Now this is not a go at the mods because i respect all the do and have done, however i(along with some others) believe it is in the best interests of the leader boards if we have maybe one or two new mods added so that we can keep on top of the leader boards. I wont be naming names as to who I think should be modded if we were to add one as that would be down to the current moderators, however I do believe this should be taken into consideration as i know there are a few of us that would be more than happy to help out with accepting runs etc. Its a shame that it has came to this but personal lives do of course come first and i respect that, so please if one of the super moderators could see this and think it would be much appreciated by a lot of the runners in the community at the moment <3

No its not, there was a huge discussion on all this stuff a few month ago in the FF Speedruns Discord and for the most part, from what i remember, backwards compatible PS3 was ruled out in almost (if not all) FF Speedrun games. However if one of the mods could get back to this thread and confirm it, it would be great.

I'm currently looking to find some notes that anyone may be willing to share for the p4 expert true ending as I will be 100% running it at some point during the next month. However I dont have time to write up my own notes so I was hoping someone had notes available that they would be willing to share If so you can contact me in Twitch ; rhyderrr or I am in quite a few discord. It would be much appreciated.
