Yea, NTSC and PAL differences are scattered around on SRC, some split, some not. It sucks having to split them, but, like you, I like an even playfield.

I had heard it was 60fps and believed it, since those bikes can really move. So, 30fps with cranked up speed...nice. That extra speed actually makes some of the twisty tracks harder for me. It's like, wayyyy too much speed lol. I guess the more you play it, the more you get used to the speed. I'm used to JM2. Just started messing around with CE maybe a year ago.

Thanks for the heads up on the fps.

Hmm. There's definitely something going on between regions though.

I checked out the other players submissions. Everyone else is under 15 seconds difference between RT and IGT. Since this occured on both your PC and Vita, it has to be a region difference (as mentioned, most likely a FPS difference). I'm going to move your Ice Breaker score to the duplicate track for PAL.

Hmm, hertz differences probably aren't even a thing on PS Vita. Your time difference reminds me of the difference between 'Jet Moto 2' and 'Jet Moto 2 Championship Edition'....They have the 2 games separate, since JM2 runs at 30fps and JM2CE runs at 60 fps. The frame difference make CE run much faster. Could you be using a version of JM that's running at 60fps?

@Keksilu now that's something I'm concerned with, since I'm all about having an even playfield. It seems weird that a PAL version of a game would be better, since it runs at 50hz, but there it is! Nightbarrel's 11 second difference seems typical (in-game clocks never match up) , but your 46 second difference is pretty crazy.

For someone that's using console, switching to the PAL rom isn't an option (I have a PS1 emulator and roms, but I prefer using console). I'm sure others will come along in the future using console too, so it needs to be fair for console users. RT for platformers, yea, but I'm not into it for racing games, where milliseconds could make the difference with IGT--Pressing buttons quicker than someone else to move on to the next screen for RT could easily take away the "millisecond factor" , so I'd like to stick with IGT.

Maybe the only way to go, is to keep PAL and NTSC split on the scoreboard.

lollll...13 hours is not a long wait. People have priorities in life that come first.

I've seen differences between in-game and real time on other games, too. No big deal. Whatever the in-game time is, that's what you go with...Everyone is equal. If someone's real time was competing with another person's in-game time, then there'd be a problem.

Full Season is being tracked by in-game time. Add all 10 race times together for your total time.

Just took over as mod---A little late (lol) , but emulators are ok.

Hey, can Best Lap runs be done in Time Attack mode?

thread: Road Rash

Yea, the 71 runs are Level 1, Level 1&2 and Rash Mode runs. It's probably not just the time it takes to do the run that's off-putting...If you mess up late in the run, that's a lot of time wasted. It's a big task to pull of 25 tracks cleanly. That said, I still think it should be added here and on RRII as well. I added it for the SMS version a couple of months ago...but no is rushing to make the run ;)

The stats are maxed out on the #7 car. No other car compares.

I had "SRX: The Game" added. SRX is a new racing league that started this past summer in the US. The vehicles in the game include SRX cars, Late Model, Sprint, Stadium Trucks and Super Late Model. Racing takes place on dirt and pavement (mostly oval tracks) and each vehicle has a nice, unique feel. The game is available on PS4, XboxOne and PC. I think the PS4 version is still on sale until tomorrow (PSN download).

I just finished setting it up: https://www.speedrun.com/srxthegame

Check out my runs to see the game in action. ;)

Ok, Jaaay is now a Super Mod.

ExiA, you must enable e-mail authentication before you can be added as a moderator. Go to Settings and enable "Require e-mail authentication".

I removed myself as a moderator for the game, so Jaaay, you'll have to add ExiA after he enables email authentication.

Thanks guys, have fun!

I searched for a discord a while ago, but didn't find one. There isn't much action here now, so at this point, a discord would probably be dead. If there's ever steady action from several different players in the future (like it was last year), then it may be worth setting one up.

Time Trial levels have been added under the Miscellaneous category.

The rules state you can use Time Trial, Practice, Saturn Challenge or Saturn Superbike modes. Emulators are banned though.

Hey, one of the site mods said to hang in there a few more days to see if he shows up, or responds on social media. So this should be settled by the end of the week.

Keep playing the first race until you get one you're satisfied with, then continue on. If the rest of the races go good, you can edit the video to start at the race select screen, where you're choosing The City.

Practice up on all of the races beforehand, learning where the traffic will be. You don't want to get a few nice races done, then be caught off guard by a car that ruins your run. The traffic follows the same pattern each race, providing your speed is the same. If you slow up a bit, you'll notice different traffic patterns. But it's Level 1, so you can pretty much go full throttle through every race, if you're careful.
