I do not think so. I believe it takes a couple more shots on normal.

I have personally never left the museum without being level 33 on a serious run. Fighting phase 2 of Eve 4 and UB 2 without liberate is very scary.

As to the exact best EXP route I'm not exactly sure. I think others have done a much deeper dive but I never bothered since it's not something you can really control. From my experience getting any refights before day 5 don't seem to significantly impact the rest of the run so I'd rather not see them lol

So if you get the 3rd tool from the chest in Central Park after the double monkey fight you can take the stats from the G19 early in Soho. Then you can use the tool you get in the 2 rat 1 crow fight before Shiva to take the stats from shiva's gun. Shouldn't mess your tools up at all but you need that extra tool in Central Park.

I've personally never had that happen. When you say you lose access, are you saying that the menu isn't there or that you can't go into the menu at all? Do you have video of it potentially? Are you using controller or M&K? Just trying to think of anything that might help troubleshoot.

First of all, we are not writing new rules and putting them in place without consulting the community. We merely had a discussion for a couple of minutes after crazey posted about presenting everyone with options. I didn't explicitly say that so I apologize if it came across like we were just changing everything and not asking everyone first. That is not my intentions or any of the other mod's intentions. We very much want everyone's thoughts and opinions. Being a top runner, being more active currently, or doing testing will not give someone more of a say. Everyone who is apart of the community will be allowed to be involved if they want to be. With that being said, all of these discussions will be taking place in the discord. You're free to be in the discord or not, I know some of you left a long time ago, but it easier for us to manage and it has more eyes on it than these forums. You can leave again as soon as you feel discussions have concluded if you feel so inclined.

Me and the other mods were just talking amongst ourselves. We're pretty much going to be opening it up for all emulators and various settings we just want to work on the write up for the rules. They are in dire need of a refresh and updating. I've been traveling a lot over the summer so not much time for me to think about a whole lot. All of the changes and things we make will be posted in the discord.

"management" has been discussing this topic and are going to be announcing some rule changes and updates to reflect the times we live in. Stay tuned but always remember "management" are people with stuff going on. We aren't on this site 24/7. I would suggest joining the discord or dming a mod if you have questions that you want to ask directly.

I just went into the store on the PSTV on the console and was able to pull up Parasite Eve just fine, so it looks like you can do it that way at the very least. I don't know what it's like on a PSP or just in other regions.

I will say it again because I don't think people are actually reading anything. You can 100% do runs on emulator right now and they would be accepted. Just because the board isn't currently split, it doesn't mean you can't do an emulator run. There's just no one doing emulator runs. You can have the fastest emu run on the boards right now and claim that you do. You just wouldn't have the little "1st" next to your name which feels like the real problem here and not the accessibility aspect. If people really wanted to do emulator runs, I think there would at least be enough motivation to try the run before complaining about the board setup.

I've also seen no push back from anyone on making a community accepted emu with setting that could actually be comparable to real hardware. So if you want to make it your mission to figure that out then so be it. We can address that when that comes to fruition. I can't promise that the end result would ultimate be acceptance of this, but I would much rather prefer this than splitting the boards for no reason.

Just want to point it out again because I saw it in an earlier post. Emu runs are not banned on the current boards. There are a few emu runs on the board currently. If someone was so inclined they could be doing emu runs with the current leaderboard structure that we have. If anyone was just picking up the run they wouldn't be competing for a top time right away anyway so the fact that people are clamoring for a board split before they even attempt a run because of potential competitive unfairness speaks more to me than anything else. I am very much for accessibility and open for discussion should a situation for a potential board split become necessary but as it stands, I don't see any reason the boards should be split.
