What timing would you use for Livesplit when you use Vault save?

How do you do Co-Op Livesplit timing? I've seen it in some speedruns for Co-Op so it is a thing. I know how to get Livesplit working with the Co-Op splits but you have to do it manually and isn't very accurate.
