Jungle clear category now exists, where you have to full clear your side of the jungle. You won't see it with other categories, but on he sidebar there is now "Level Leaderboard" where you can find the category subdivided for all champions. Have fun practicing your first clears!
You are right, I thought Q damage scaled with AP.
This is just the weird nature of LoL as a speedrun game, constantly patched without the ability to downpatch. This makes some records harder/easier to beat, some even so hard that they are unbeatable. But that's just the nature of this game. This is of course not really a positive, but the alternative to divde scores by patch makes even less sense, since they would be wiped every 2 weeks and additionally there is not enough player base to justify doing so. That's why runs shouldn't be invalidated just because it's impossible to achieve them anymore.
One note for the people reading this that want to attempt Scuttle Crab - yes I beat it with Gragas, but that was just for fun. If you want the easy WR just pick Nunu again, play against bots and get any amount of kills (like from the top bait). The AP you can buy should easily be enough to get the crab. Gragas was for style points - not because it was optimal!
is currently the discord server which you can join from the sidebar.
If you are interested in running any category and want some tips, wonder how something is possible or done (like the practice tool runs) the best way to get an answer is to just ask on discord, many people there will be happy to help you.
I realize that having guides and tutorials which everyone can access directly from the site is better, but we don't have them, so for the time being join our discord if you're interested in running the game.
Yeah MadKick, I get your sentiment that the run is not illegitimate by the rules, but feels "illegitimate". LoL is weird in a sense as a speedrun game because it can't be downpatched and it's patched very often so there is no way we'd separate categories by patch. It will happen again and again that there will be things that won't be achievable anymore due to patches (this situation is an extreme extent of it though). I think the worst thing about this aspect is that there is potential to just destroy competition by achieving results that would be no longer possible later. The thing is, I knew that achieving a 20:00 baron was possible without the glitch (and it was achieved by Derp yesterday, go watch his run it's insane), so it wouldn't ruin the competition. The same wouldn't be true for example with Herald. I could've killed herald 8 minutes flat with the same bug, but I knew it would be unachievable otherwise and decided against it. Though if anyone ever achieves something that wouldn't be possible later, which will eventually happen, they shouldn't be a target of any harassment, this is just the weird nature of this speedgame. Hope this gives you a little more insight on the whole situation.
