Hello everyone, I know self-promotion is usually frowned upon in the forums, but I created a speedrunning compilation of some classic games, mainly from my childhood. This is intended as a homage, both to these games and the communities of these games containing these skilled runners. I apologize if the production value is mediocre:

The games included are... Dead Rising King Kong (2005) The Spongebob SquarePants Movie Game Ratchet and Clank (RaC1) Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Spongebob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom- Rehydrated Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis Aliens Versus Predator Extinction

Hello, so as the title says I'm thinking about doing a series where I make tier lists based on different games. The question is, though: how do I do that? I'm aware of the website where you can use and make new templates (I think it's tiermaker.com or something), but does the website itself have a function where you can record (if you make an account)? Do I have to use another software to capture my screen? I also want to have a webcam on me while I make the list.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hey, if any admin/ mods want to shut down this idea, I understand as I know how constant self-promotion can be annoying.

I've noticed on several forums there's usually a thread where users can submit their latest videos from Youtube or Twitch for feedback from the community. A lot of us on the forums obviously have one of the two (or both) to submit our runs, but we also might post other content on our channel or (in my case) even an alternate channel.

I just thought that it could potentially be a nice, cool idea to give other members in the community some feedback and support on their non-speedrunning content, but I also see how this can open the door to spam posts.

This thread will be used for any suggestions and ideas, such as new categories, rule adjustments, site maintenance, moderator appointments, etc. One adjustment that I am debating, on Missions and Exercises, is whether to start the timer when selecting from the menu (as the old mods did and how I timed my runs) or starting the timer when the scenario loads.

Hello there. Somewhat new to the speedrunning community, but I've submitted a few runs already. One of the games I run has no moderators in the community (Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis). It simply says "Verified by Deleted User" when you look at older runs. After submitting a few runs and realizing the criteria needed to become a mod, I posted in the community's forums to see if any of the more veteran runners were interested to request to be a mod. No response, so I decided to wait a few weeks before requesting to become one (Today my account is 1 month old). However, even after turning email authentication on and my account being at least 30 days old the prompt still says, "You cannot submit a moderation request because you must have email authentication turned on and your account must be at least 1 month old. To turn on email authentication, visit your account Settings." I still have met the other criteria as well:

  • I have multiple pending runs of the game
  • I have at least two social media contacts on my profile
  • The game's mods are inactive or just not present My only guess is that my account needs to be over 1 month old and not at least 1 month.

Title says it all. For me, back in high school (probably my sophomore year in 2014), I made a small Early 20th-century Mid-Western town. The theme was obviously Mid-to-Late 1910s. I recently went back to it and added more to it. Here is a link to a video of me showcasing it: Anyone else make anything they put a lot of time into?

Hey there. I didn't know if these kind of "introduction" posts were allowed, but I recently started speedrunning. In fact, this game is my first official speedrun. I have been a casual Warpath player on-and-off for years now, but Zrightning's videos inspired me to pick up the game for the first time in four years. Today or tomorrow, I'm going to post a few practice runs on my channel. I'm trying to work out kinks with my editing software to add a timer to my videos post-production to facilitate it for mods and other viewers for submission. (I know many non-live recordings are discouraged in other games because it opens the door to cheating or splicing, but, in this game, I feel it would be difficult and ineffective to do so). Seems like a nice community, thanks for having me!
