Basically the glitch allows you to stack 2 heroes on top of each other with some precise placement. From thatm you can do variety of things, such as (but not limited to) multiplying army, gaining infinite experience, cloning objects on the map. Its use is limited because setting up this glitch is a lengthy process. It would save time in FFA Impossible (as of now), it may be a faster way to do Armageddon's Blade in the future

Hello!

I was wondering if using superposition glitch would be considered fair play. Its usefulness is currently limited, as on most maps where it's possible faster strategies exist already. It could hovewer bring a major improvement to FFA on harder difficulties.

It may also save just a bit of time in A New Beginning, although it's difficult to tell, as there is too much time lost to imperfect play to judge this strategy.

I'm asking because while unintended strategies have been used on numerous occasions already, they mostly came from map designer overlooking certain details, not game bugs themselves.

I think most of the runners in Homecoming are inactive and reaching out to some of them might be difficult.

I don't have any issue with you resubmitting them, as Winter_Doggo said, it wouldn't make much difference

Hello!

It seems that there are 2 distinct Homecoming categories on the site: one in "Misc" under Full Game Leaderboard and the other in Level Leaderboard. Is it possible to move all the records to the latter category? This would be done in order to avoid any confusion related to those lists, as the rules are effectively the same for both. Because of it, there is simply no need to maintain the other list in Full Game Leaderboard.

There is a similiar story with "Free for All", although the records have already been migrated to "Impossible" category. Nonetheless, the obsolete list should be deleted from the Full Game Leaderboard

Yeah, this topic was up some time ago. I agree, full campaigns shouldn't be the first thing you see on this page, as there are no records set

I don't understand wdym by "with map generation", but I can tell you there is no way to invite DD to mage guild. 16% chance every time your run gets through first level.

The only thing you can do is invite a hero to tavern if you need one. Sometimes it's too slow, so you're better off just rolling until you get him lol.

RoE, AB and SoD refer to campaigns rather than diferent versions. Although I don't see any advantages to play RoE and AB (campaigns are "stuck" internally in those versions anyway), playing SoD would be beneficial in some cases (archangels didn't cost gems back then). I have "Złota Edycja" copy, which is basically Sod with 1 hotfix - 3.1 (Complete is 3.2), but I don't use it because unlike the complete version it has some cinematics missing.

Hello again!

I just got a new keyboard (a mechanical one) and a new mouse with more buttons than just regular 3. I wanted to ask: Is it fair play to bind some keyboard keys to them for speedrunning purposes (e.g being able to press both e and enter keys with 1 hand can speed up almost all levels, and in some, shortcuts like d,t,h are also helpful.

Binding some to mouse would be way easier to click and use.

I'd do that if it's allowed

I discovered that turning off all the music and sounds drastically speeds up auto combat. I'll put it to work in LLtQ, provided that I get enough luck.

I think they are. If they were verified, and the video was lost, then it still means that runs were done at some point with proof.

Even if we wanted to make a rule against runs with lost videos in the future, lex retro non agit. No matter the circumstances runs done earlier should be respected.

Hello! From what I know current theoretical timing starts when you press "begin" on the campaign screer and ends when you close the final congratulations dialog.

I opt for changing the start to the first input AFTER starting the level (most likely skipping the first dialog box). Here are the reasons why:

-In practice most of the runs start their timer at the dialog box anyway (At least in RoE campaigns) -In runs which require a lot of reseting early to get good enough luck (Especially D&D [followers] , LLtQ [good hero in tavern] and LLtK [getting Galthran] runs) going to main menu just to start the campaign again instead of hitting restart is so pointless, boring and time-wasting. SoW and SftF runs also require quick rerolls, but less frequently (Bad followers luck). Seeds of Discontent rerolls most of the time at around 1 minute.

  • It would not require further re-timing.

What's your opinion on the matter?

I used to play SoD version most of my life, until I got Complete version recently. Main difference for me was changed Archangels price (added gem cost). SoD is 3.1 version and Complete is 3.2 (in other words SoD lacks the final patch). I don't remember all the tweaks though.

As for options, limiting every animation is almost all we can do in HD+.

Another hidden tweak (accesible through the HD+ configuration file, not GUI) is automatic max-buying units. It makes all the dwellings and castles offer you all the units by default (instead of just 1 or 0). It saves some time, especially in RoE campiagns.

As for strategies, there is the thing I call "forcing end turn" After you build something in a city everything is delayed by the animation, but the game itself still registers clicks, button presses and most importantly their order. I used it multiple times in D&D run: After finishing all the map movement, building in the city, I clicked during an animation "ok" button and pressed E to end turn. It forces no delay between. This could be potentially used to do more combinations without time loss, as long as you can space them in that animation window.

Definitely! LLtQ and D&D are good candidates. Way more attempts and records than 0. Speedruning all the RoE would either take very long time or more than extreme luck.
