Illinois, USAOn an all advancements guide that ive seen floating around is this advancement tracker: https://github.com/DarwinBaker/AATool is it allowed for runs or is it intended for practicing? it says it adheres to the rules from the beginning of the year, just wondering if it has changed since then?
I was just about to comment this, usually, mistakes happen when the mods verify large batches of runs. If you point it out they usually fix it relatively quickly
Yeah the mod said time started at 18.5 seconds when It obviously started at around 16.2
I noticed that this run: https://www.speedrun.com/fmc/run/zxd1lp5y for kill zombie default seed no gun. The title of the video identifies it as a gun kill run but was submitted in the no gun category. Probably was a mistake by the verifier since most of the run names are fairly similar, and when submitting a run it defaults to the no gun option.
You can change your render distance down to around 4 in the settings, and that should allow you to load the terrain faster.
I was looking into doing a few runs for this game and when looking at the current runs I noticed something odd. The current run by alpatex in all expert has only 5 puzzles for expert and 7 puzzles in easy in his video. But when I boot up the game I have 6 in expert and 14 in easy which seems to be consistent with the current all easy run and a couple of youtube videos I looked at. I was wondering if this was due to regions since alpatex is in Germany based off of his location and all of the information I have is from the US. I was just wondering on how this difference in puzzles can be enforced, probably just restricting it to the puzzles that are in all versions of the game, or just making a separate run for each different puzzle.
I agree that there should be more defined rules should be set. Based off of the runs that have been approved so far the settings that enable pre-filled notes, show mistakes, etc have been used in at least one run currently on the leaderboard. As for the timing of the runs, the current first-place run is timed based off of the sum of the IGT so that's what it seems like the timing is at this point.
I believe that there should also be categories for each type of board like one of the other sudoku games that has a speedrun leaderboard: Sudoku Zenkai ( https://www.speedrun.com/sudoku_zenkai ). As well as following other Windows Series games there should be a mobile games category if the experience is that different than it is on PC I haven't personally tried it on mobile yet. You also bring up an interesting thing about mistakes there could be mistakeless categories encouraging against the random guessing I end up doing in my runs.
