Ok thats good to know. Thanks for the quick response, I honestly forgot about that bit of text at the bottom saying it could take up to 3 weeks. So thank you for taking the time to look at my run and approving it.

I know I'm not a veteran when it comes to doom speed running and am honestly pretty green at it. I mostly run it for the fun of it because its unique while still being slightly competitive, but If you need help with reviewing runs and such I'd be happy to help out.

Just wondering how long does it typically take to get a run approved? My submission has been in queue for 4 days. I know we all have a lot going on but just wanting to know for the future as to what a normal wait time is.

Thanks,

After thinking about this and seeing we have nothing related to this at the moment I propose a new category to spark some competition.

You could call it "Ultra Classic" or "Glitch-less SR40" or something like that. here are the Rules I can think of at the moment. I totally welcome suggestions on this as well.

Saving allowed. -complevel 3 (No Jumping, crouching, infinite monster height, etc.) Using SR50 IS NOT ALLOWED AT ALL Using SR40 is Allowed Auto-Run is Allowed No Major / Minor "Map" Glitches (eg. using the map in a way it wasn't intended such as, E2M2 Button hit from the acid Pit below Exit, or E2M6 No clip glitch to exit. etc..)

So hear me out on this one. Here is why I would like to see this category created.

If you remember back in the very early days of DOOM and if you had certain brands of computers (notably really cheap ones) it was literally impossible to do SR50 due to limit of how many buttons on a keyboard that could be pressed at the same time. Also some of those computers didn't have a mouse or trackball because they were still rocking DOS so why would you need one? So that would further limit how many buttons could be pressed at any one given time and on some preventing SR50 completely or even giving problems to Ruining, moving forward, Shooting, turning, and Strafing in a normal game play method.

Also using the Glitches in the maps were you could no clip to the exit or hit the button from the pit kind of take way from the original game on how the developers meant for it to be played. Hence the "Classic" part of my suggestion. Also these maps glitches weren't "IMO" widely known until several years after the release of the game.

So the sprite of the rules for this Category is "as if you just opened the box for the first time and knew nothing of the game before, and playing on limited hardware".

Anyway let me know what you think, be nice tho. :)
