It's not really free time save tho it requires execution and a lot of games find new glitches that you could view the same as "free timesave" but it's normall not separated.
I can't say anything for easy runs with the glitch cause I haven't ran them yet but how you do medium with the glitch is basically identical to how you do it without the glitch (I've done 600 runs of it with the glitch)
I personally feel like separating them is the wrong choice. In my opinion it's a small glitch that is not game changing, like glitch category. Also absoluteing old runs is how speedruns work in my opinion. As more n more glitches are found in any game old optimized runs can be beaten strictly due to new glitches. I don't see any problem with getting the time lower with a glitch that doesn't really change the run.
Hey so Ive done a couple runs for this game on emu and for some reason my time is like 5 minutes slower than wr yet my lap times are no where near that bad. I dont think my mashing is that horrible to lose 5 minutes so I was wondering if we could go by in game time to keep it consistent through all settings and emulators !!! And plus in game time will look really funny with this game :^)
I honestly have no clue, I use default DS if that helps your insights at all.
so I think that starting at new game is good I was thinking maybe ending time could be when you open the book after you load back in. Also I agree with the three categories.
