Maybe on full game runs using your sword first and then using bombs is better since you give more time for a damage boost to appear. Also laying down 4 bombs then activating it would do a lot more damage.
Can you manipulate the rng for the axe skull guys getting up if they hit you or not?
You can only shoot one boomerang when old hatsworth? Bombs?
Do 2 lighting power ups activated at the same time do the same amount of damage as one? Combo them/don't?
What is effected by currents/waterfalls etc possibly everything?
What can shield bobs block and what can they not? Do upgraded shield bobs block more stuff?
place an enemy block above boss block he won't be able to escape
If on a boss level chest are very useful because they might contain damage up
Juggling enemies means its more likely they will become a puzzle item in the puzzle with maxing them out meaning they never become block enemies.
bombs do more damage when they explode after they are left a certain amount of time killing things makes the game harder don't forget
Beginner guide rough
Use bombs till you get boomerang since they do so much damage, use bombs against shield bobs since they are actually weaker against them and can be hit when there shields are up level 3 bombs will even kill them in one hit. Bombs + attack boost from the puzzle zone is broken. Bomb special is also a good tool if you are getting overwhelmed since you actually become invincible when using it. learn how to juggle enemies three normal slashes, up slash, jump, hit them mid air, then land back down and repeat. Always clear out the puzzle zone if you are out of silver hearts and kill as many enemies as you can if you can effectively clear the puzzle zone since this is you back up in case you are close to dying, upgrade hearts and weapon damage they will the most useful, maybe upgrade heart chance in the puzzle zone as well. Once you get boomerang KEEP IT for a new player these are a god send. Shoot a boomerang then power it up and it will home in on enemies. They can't attack you when getting hit and will eventually kill them. Almost never use the speed shoes. If you can juggle a boss juggle them if not use down slashes and whatever projectile you have. Learn the quickest ways to kill enemies that way you won't be overwhelmed, for example upgraded down slash will kill a sword bob in one hit. There's probably more but these should really help. There's probably some I forgot Also learn enemy patterns
IL runs must only have a certain amount of money specified in that levels ruleset and must be played for the first time and cannot be redone.
You must use Desmume if playing through emulation and have these settings:
frame skip off on zero
limit framerate to 60fps
Frame counter on
Input display on (You can use an external input display if you like)
Have FPS showing
Save states can be used on IL runs but not on Full game runs.

This TAS video contains a trick that would get you a very good time if done correctly with the rest of the level being clean.
I didn't do it because its just too difficult and I can't be bothered to grind that much on an IL run.
It's the bit where you get the tea pot without activating the text box then perform a precise shot to destroy a block so it saves time but only a couple of seconds.
Lets get this community going this is not just for speedrunning but also for the larger community even though that's probably like 2 other people. Hopefully I can start getting some more people on board.
Can I be added as the new super moderator on the Henry Hatsworth speedrun page https://www.speedrun.com/hhitpa I have submitted 2 IL runs over the last three days and I have been trying to reach out to the current super mod through his social media over the past three days + but he has not responded. His hasn't streamed on twitch in months to my knowledge and I can't find his discord. He has YouTube channel where he uploads infrequently and trying to access him through that has been unsuccessful. He has been inactive for 6 months and it seems unlikely he will return.
Is there away to consistently get the clip at the start of Bunker I fall through the floor but usually get pushed out so I fall to the floor below not the bottom floor. I seem to find a way to do it consistently when restarting from the checkpoint but it doesn't work that well when restarting the level. I play on the Wii version if that helps. Pls respond thanks.
