Rules did change, I'll look over them rq.
For now, those options include the worlds before it. Basically, if you do a late game world before the tower worlds, then you have to go through the entire game. So for Pharaoh's Canyon, you have to do the starting world, Embersky, Glacier, and Pharaoh's. (Only for NG, not NG+)
Unless the pet has sub stats that are not able to be obtained anymore (ex. Beta pets give more walkspeed), it should be fine.
There might be an issue adding variables, when adding variables, it makes all other runs hidden. If anyone knows how to fix this, please respond.
Like for example, people might want to say that they want to try to beat a level on hard mode, they want to be seen on the front page of the leaderboard, and if it was a variable system, it couldn't happen.
People want a challenge, plus it was requested from multiple people including me. Nobody else had any objections. Plus, two of the games you put were sandbox games and have a different type of difficulty. Not many people would search up by difficulty because they wouldn't care. We are giving people who do difficulty more publicity. Plus, the difficulties are such a huge difference with having way stronger enemies, elites for certain stages, and in challenge mode, a timer. There is such a big difference in difficulties that we should either have to say 'don't do anything outside of normal' or let them have a choice. Due to the internet being the internet, I think that they will like having at least some choice on the difficulty. People would keep asking for difficulties, so for less confusion, I added them. Also notice that the difficulties were added just for the level runs, and not the full game runs.
The main problem with that is that there would be one less reason to speedrun. Imagine getting the world record, only for it to say 3rd or 2nd. Me and Cain thought about that, but it would just be more confusing.
Difficulties were added! For now, you can only do solo difficulties, which might be changed later.
Due to SpykeSquirt bringing this to my attention, until further notice, all runs will be on normal difficulty due to it being much faster than going on any other difficulty, and all of our current runs are in normal. I will be speaking with the other moderators to figure this one out. I will post any updates under here.
It should be fine due to the abilities being made to go through objects, including walls. There should be no problems, unless a run attacks an enemy through the starting barrier.
We will discuss it at a future time, due to the dungeons not all having difficulties.
Due to it being obtainable via a quest, yes it is. Unless the Borewolf mount quest gets disabled or removed, which will probably not happen.
If you are looking for your old runs, there is a chance it might be deleted. a new rule was made for level speedruns, where you can not use Limited or Paid Mounts and Pets. If your record uses a Limited/Paid Mounts or Pets, it will be deleted. Reason for this is because Paid/Limited Pets and Mounts provide an advantage to people who use them, and gives the possibility of an unbeatable record for the reason that the people challenging the record, can't buy/obtain the Pets/Mounts that the record uses. You can have Limited/Paid Pets/Mounts equipped, but if you use them, your run will be invalid. Please provide any questions if you need to, and other invalid speedruns in case if we missed it.

While Pets and Mounts do add a lot to the gameplay. There is some Pay To Win Aspects to the pets and mounts. Fireball Pet is an item in the Roblox Catalog. This item gives people the Fireball Pet with an amazing ability. Which means you can only get this with money (It costs about $2.) The in game Mounts cost Robux and can be a small amount of dollars. The main thing is, that the mounts are much faster than the free to play mount. So, these 2 examples show that maybe a category for no Pets or Mounts might make sense. Thanks for Reading! -Miniborg Ps. I wrote this while very tired
Well, I mean, that's against the rules.
