I'm not sure about replacing the disc reader, it would probably be cheaper to replace the console. Given where you live, have a check over the eb games and jbhifi websites. From memory they were selling fully refurbished wii's for under 30 bucks. Ebay and gumtree are also good bets for cheap wiis.

If you want a challenge, feel free to do a full game run or do the ils you are talking about, or even run low% which does the stuff you are talking about, but in a full game run. In my opinion it's a bit unreasonable asking for a specific il category given that you haven't run the game. Feel free to get in on the community anytime.

Nothing is stopping you from doing iw's anyways, I have used them to practice on occasion. It just wouldn't be on the the boards.
