We already have OoB that skips from slums 1 to sewers, and from slums 1 to slums 2 on console (the skip to sewers got patched and console cant downpatch)

I guess what im trying to say is more along the lines of the site has platforms built into leaderboards by default, with the ability to sort them and stuff, so is it necessary to completly seperate the leaderboards when that exists.
Again, without a significant route difference, why split the leaderboards when theres an existing way to filter by platform built into the site.
The issue isnt segmented runs, I agree they dont belong on a leaderboard. But runs that use saves and loads (I.e for a trick or a hard section ect) aare perfectly valid runs single segment. The issue is the timing, which is why the game sould be timed RTA without loads (as most modern runs are done via livesplit plugins)
Leave the station is a category where you do the alternate end where you escape the station on an escape pod. While this is an endind, it counts as a 'bad ending' and just reloads your last checkpoint after you get it. Any% is beat the game getting to the actual credits.
Loads vs no loads is because there is a load remover for the PC version of the game, so people with worse load times dont get screwed by PC hardware because loads arent timed. The with loads time is the time that includes all the load screens.
It used to be like that, but the number of categories were unruly and it was hard to compare times, you can easily filter by platform.
Uhh, i would say that checkpoint restating or loading the optional mission in Rosetta labs would be fine. I mean, checkpoint restarting and stuff are actions that are developer intended.

Getting at least 2 power nodes for this can be done really easily.
In Chapter 15, at the cutscene entering Nicole fight - checkpoint restart the moment the game switches to inside Isaac's head - saves like 5 - 6 seconds with my load times
Hey mate, thanks for pointing out that theirs no co op Awakened categories, and no rules for the awakened categories that exist, ill fix that. Once I've fixed it, I can submit you and your friends time, does your friend have a speedrun.com account for which to post the run under his name?
Also, the skip isn't a patch dependent thing, it can be done on the latest patch of Dead space 3. It requires that you have something like 200+ fps on PC, and even then its super hard.

So after some testing, I was unable to do it on 30 fps. If you have vsync on, turn it off. I was able to do it with a controller.
