...Karma, you submitted your run a day ago. If a mod can't verify a run the same day it's submitted or they can't get back to you in DMs right away, it doesn't mean they're automatically inactive. Mods, in general, aren't obligated to verify runs that quickly. You have to be patient for any speedgame submission. You can't jump to conclusions and say I'm inactive if I don't message you right away. Especially because it's been only 1 day of all things. Mods will verify it when they can, so they don't need people messaging them immediately to verify it right away. That's only appropriate if it's been a lengthy amount of time that the run goes unchecked.

Additionally, this game doesn't get that many submissions, but when they do, they are verified in a timely manner regardless. So the need for more mods here is irrelevant, especially since the mods from the other games hardly asked me. It doesn't equate to the community being "dead."

Hello, Brian. At the time the leaderboards was created, only PC/Mac was available since the Xbox One and PS4 releases didn't come out until April 2018. But I added them now, so you can select them under "Platform."

Hey LattMackey. I added TG-16 as a subcategory alongside with "Arcade" and "NES." So your run will be under there. Since the Arcade and NES versions are more "approachable" and more likely to be used, they were the only subcategories for the time being. Additionally, the TG-16 version had cutscenes which the others do not. Therefore, it's sufficient enough to make it a subcategory. Platforms like Amiga and C64 may also get their own as well if people submit them. If so, I'll see how the leaderboards will be arranged with that much variety of platforms. For now, the only ones are the Arcade (US and JP), NES, and TG-16. Good luck with future runs.

Hi. There's a few differences between the U.S. and JPN versions, but only one makes it significant enough to separate them.

To start off, there's 3 different Japanese roms, which are Japan older, Japan old and Japan new. As their titles suggest, they're most likely different revisions of the game.

The significant difference that all the Japanese versions share compared to U.S. is Pac-Man's running speed and falling speed. Pac-Man sprints at a slower speed, and he is more floaty since his falling speed is low. Therefore, the Japanese versions are slower to run, so U.S. has the advantage. One minor difference is a graphical one. In U.S., Pac-Man has human-looking eyes much like the TV show, while Japan retains his black, retro Pac-Man eyes.

In terms of individual differences between the Japanese versions, Japan older and Japan old don't appear to have much of a difference, but Japan new contains the level select in the beginning of the game just like the U.S., but the other Japanese versions do not. Interestingly, Japan new also has scores under each level of the level select, whereas U.S. does not.

Hope this summarizes the overall differences between each version. There may be some other minor ones, but the most important is the reduced running and falling speed. But the Japanese category is there nonetheless for those who want to run it without having to compete with the faster U.S. runs.

Should probably add a "Kaleidoscope Expansion" category for those who want to run the DLC alone. I've done one myself prior. Any% is technically for runs for the main game only, and doesn't include the "Kaleidoscope Expansion" as it is extra content, so a category for itself is a good idea. It also has two endings where you end the game early, or go inside the Kaleidoscope, so it's probably best to pick the Kaleidoscope ending one since it's technically the true ending, or have them as subcategories, etc.

Edit: I noticed that Primopão submitted runs for Kaleidoscope, but are in Any%. So Kaleidoscope would also have a Glitches and Glitchless subcategory as well. Also the time is wrong; says 5 hours.

Yes I know. I've been changing all of that since I know Mobile has the minigame in the Extras Menu. You told me it wasn't in Extras since you mostly played on the mobile version. I only played PC, and since you had more knowledge of mobile, I expected it to be correct. I won't penalize you for that; it's a small mistake. But fortunately nothing was submitted for it in terms of the minigame.

As for the minigame differences itself, I'm noting that it's structured differently similar to how FNaF 3's minigames are different in mobile. However, I'm not including difficulty because it's subjective.

Certainly, but I'll have to practice it during the week. Probably this or next week.

@NekohDot The only difference is that supermods can add or delete other mods. Regular mods cannot, and can be deleted by the supermod. It's up to you; I'm fine with either.

Hello @NekohDot. I am very active within the site; moderating a few games as well. I'll be glad to help you with Bluntmetroid's Super Mario World hack, Super Itami World as I have a manageable schedule, in addition with my university semester ending in a week.

EDIT: The minigame can be accessed in the Extras Menu of the Mobile version. The sprite is located on the right of the "Main Menu" text.

Yeah I'm aware of that. The "Platform" variable already lets people know that, stating: "the Cupcake Minigame can't be accessed through the Extras Menu in the mobile version of the game." This way runners will know what to choose when reading: "Complete the Cupcake Minigame through dying or the Extras Menu," for categories involving the minigame. However, the "Cupcake Minigame" category requires you to access the minigame through Extras, which is only possible in PC. I'll update the rules for that category to include that timing starts when the minigame activates after dying for mobile rather than just clicking on the sprite of Circus Baby for PC.

The point of it being there is to add an extra challenge for a runner who wants that sort of challenge, but it is not required. It's there for completing the game in its entirety if people want to do that. Scott Cawthon made a similar remark about the Golden Freddy mode as well, stating, "...don't view it as something that is required to "finish" the game. It's there for people who want to try the impossible and see how long they can last!"

That's also why the page has categories like "3-Star" and "4-Star" for those who want to speedrun the game, but end at a certain point. 3-star would be completing the "main game" entirely, 4-star is completing the "main game" along with the "extra" Golden Freddy challenge on Very Hard since it gives you the 4th star without having to complete the other 9 challenges. Additionally, dying in the progress wouldn't nullify the run, but it is possible to complete under a day or below regardless.

Indeed; also make sure to flash when Funtime Foxy's arm is sticking out from the left or right sides as it can lead to a jumpscare if you ignore them. This part of Night 3 can be inconsistent, so it's advised to run (Shift+W) 6-7 steps, then flash to see if Funtime Foxy is in view. If so, flash until he's not in your view. If not, run another 6-7 steps. Be sure to listen to the steps as well.

Good luck to you, SpeedySpiderSponge. I hope you enjoyed the community and site during your time.

The 4-Star 100% category has been changed in that it is separated into different categories. This is because completing the Golden Freddy challenge on Very Hard grants you the 4th star without having to complete the other challenges on Very Hard. However, the 100% category involves completing every other custom night challenge on Very Hard.

The A.I., as the difficulty suggests, changes, so someone has the choice to beat all 10 presets within the same difficulty. So each difficulty is separated as a subcategory for people who prefer a certain difficulty to beat each preset; similar to the Classic Mode speedrun of Super Smash Bros. Melee where people are given the option to submit a run under one of the listed difficulties. People aren't just going to pick a random difficulty for each preset as that would be pointless. It's better to separate it with each difficulty as the A.I. gets harder. What doesn't effect anything in the game, however, is the time to complete the night. Just like Night 4, the window of time to complete the night is fixed since the point is to survive. The fastest times under Custom Night would involve people selecting the preset fast enough as well as completing each preset without dying. That's similar to the other FNaF games where the amount of time to complete a night is fixed.

Greetings. I request to become a moderator for https://www.speedrun.com/Five_Nights_at_Freddys_Sister_Location (Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location). The game had been added on October 20th, 2016, and one of your Game Request policies are "Requested games/series that have not been set up 2 weeks after being accepted, will be deleted." The moderator, despite being online since 20 hours ago currently as I'm writing this post, had not set up the leaderboard or any other regulation to the page. The mod has also not responded to a user on the forum page who had asked to be a mod to create categories, etc. which was posted 6 days ago, but no response. Despite online activity, there is inactivity in the game's page, and there is only 1 week left before the game will be deleted. To ensure the game's existence in the site, as well as putting work into the game's page, I would like to request to be a moderator for the game. If needed, I also have my own run for the game, and I am an active moderator for 2 other games.
