yeah, it's coded in the game that you take 5 damage when doing it. the slight reddening of the screen acts as a confirmation cue.

Will include all unique NPCs (i.e. excluding the bobomb battlefield bobombs and canon hatch bobombs) I know of off the top of my head (even if they're not interactable)

Interactable:

  1. Large and in charge - Big Pianta (Castle Basement)
  2. Skull Kid (Wet Dry World town)
  3. 6 Redeads (Wet Dry World town, each has unique dialog)
  4. Snorkeling Toad (JRB room off to the right by the entrance door)
  5. E-Gadd (Castle Courtyard)
  6. Majora's Mask Salesman (Hazy Maze Cave in the portal where you'd unlock the Metal Cap in SM64)

Non-interactable:

  1. T-Posing Waluigi (Cool Cool Mountain, frozen underneath the mother penguin)

greeting fellow mario fps gunslinger,

after thinking about it for a bit, running the numbers, and verifying my results with top scientists and getting them peer-reviewed, i would also agree that the RBA setup should be counted in the timing. I would, however understand the counter-argument, that keeping the RBA in keeps the time short, and thus prevents big pianta from becoming lonely.

i would be fine with banning RBA from BIG PIANTA RTA if it came down to it and making it NG+ only. i'd also be fine with allowing it, but under a subcategory as well if consensus leaned toward wanting that. I can understand not wanting it, as it makes the run... kinda bland from a repeated runs perspective and removes a lot of challenge from it.

this is just my half dollar on the matter

he seems to moonlight as a doctor (albeit an unofficial one as he doesn't have a doctorate), so i think he'd be able to solve it way faster than how it was handled irl if given the chance. thoughts?

By running the game through a C# decompiler, we found out that if you hit both P and V on the keyboard at the same time, you get all the weapons in the game

Either your keyboard and mouse software natively supports that kind of rebinding, or you can use an external tool to do that for you. For example, here's an AutoHotkey script that will do the rebinding for you: https://gist.github.com/lioncash/cdd12f360ca8a1b0f283b8d8eebf0cda (I'll also add this to the Resources tab for the future)

Yeah, you bind the fire input to mouse wheel up and down inputs and then just scroll really fast. It works best on mice that allow for unlocked scroll wheels that can spin with no resistance
