You can speedrun all you want to, but your runs won't be accepted to the leaderboards, due to load times being a lot faster than runs on an official disk.
If I were you, I'd try running the game from your HDD, and if you find you enjoy it, pick up a cheap disk so you can submit to the leaderboards.
What about loading Newer as an ISO with a USB loader on a Wii vs using the "official" method proposed by the Newer team? Is there any difference in time like that? Are USB loaders allowed?
Title says it all. I'd like to try running 100% at some point, but without bonus skips like in the original Yoshi's Island, the run would be extremely tedious and RNG-dependent. If bonus skips do exist in this game, are there any tutorials?
I don't have the game available right now, so I can't experiment with it at the moment, unfortunately
I just downloaded gambette and a WL2 ROM, but all the colors look off. Which color palette should I use, or how do I fix this? Here's a picture of how it should look vs how it does look:
Off topic, but what category are you planning on running? Think I'm gonna get back to 100% and would be fun with someone else running it too
