im so sorry I didn't mention this but when I said score I meant the highscore
has scores been studied?
hey so ive been wondering since ive been playing the game about the highscore if it affects the game in any sense. if nothing has been looked at to do with this I would like to have some help figuring out if the value will affect gameplay/speed/ framerules etc.
ok guys go easy on nova. see that long pipe after the big jump and before the koopas?
go in it and skip all of that crap, unless obviously your aiming for a sub 505
Ive recently been interested in running smb2 after running smb1 for a while. I looked everywhere for a tutorial for any% but I cant find one. can anyone link me anything?
alright thanks ill get a ntsc cart
sorry but im not ready to invest 200 dollars in this game lol
wow just now I remembered that I should get a powerpak
@roopert83 soory for they bad audio and video quality its 10 pm and I don't feel like making a proper screen recording or using a proper mic so my brother was the cameraman on my ipad.
the video demonstrates how uncontrollable the games and how fast it runs.
That is not the case @Darpey because I can do almost every ntsc strat including 8-4 and 8-2 stairs normally just the speed is fast which makes it harder to do, although I think changing the resolution might help because at the moment it’s streched so the game appears to be faster. I’m not using a crt tv I’m using my parents tv which isn’t new but it was one of the firsts to support 1080HD resolution but if that doesn’t work any other ideas? I know @pellsson says the oscillator could be modded but I have no clue what that is neither do I know how to change anything technical to do with the nes
so i recently got my hands on an ntsc nes and ntsc super mario bros cart but i couldnt really play the game because the gam ran alot faster than normal so it made it almost impossible to do stairs pipe jumps etc
has anyone had this issue and have a solution?
@Mars02 that stairs is bad i can tell you an easier start that saves like 3 more frame rules than what you did.
just run down the stairs but without holding b and once your on the first step (not standing on it) start holding b and jump off the last step after 1 frame of landing on it. this takes about 10 trys to get the hang of and do it every single time!
i interact as much as i can but chat only says stuff like rip when i die on 8-4
i really appreciate what you just said i honestly thought this thread ended thanks
so i recently decided that i would like to stream this game practicing and going for runs but i couldnt get a single viewer.
i really wanna know how to get a consistent fan/viewer base. i am streaming just for the fun of it but i also wanna interact with people while playing the game.
i already know some fundamentals of content creation as i have a youtube channel with over 5k subscribers and 300k views but im very new to streaming. i would like to be taught some tips if thats ok
so rn I feel extremely comfortable with 2 bump 375 but yes I do wanna do Blazit because it’s fun so I’ll just stick with aldyn’s suggestion and watch the clip frame by frame
@Lul_ecks_dee my problem isn’t the bumps it’s the 2-3 frame jumps that I have an issue with and it’s getting me 375 because when I jump too late I brush up on the block and stops me from getting a potential 376
@Darpey I’ve been using my own weird like 2-3 bump method and sometimes if I do it good I get optimal 375 but the jumps are kind of hard and I wanted to use wall clip so I don’t worry about the hard jumps. But even when I normally brush up on a block I still get 374, I just wanna stop getting a 374 when I 100% know I can get a 375
