Can I use the 00 save from the "All chamber splits" resource instead of the Vault skip save? I cannot extract the vault save properly and need an alternative.

I just downloaded Source Unpack on my new computer , and Livesplit keeps timing during the loads. Its timing on Engine ticks and stops, and should be working but its not. Is there anything obvious I should do?

I’m thinking of starting speedrunning this game (I saw Msushi’s run and got inspired) and I don’t know what the splits are. I also don’t know how to do any of the tricks that Msushi used, and was wondering if there was a good tutorial that I could use. Thanks

I've watched some runs were people skip the entire beginning in the little vault thing, and i'm wondering how can you do that? I can't find any tutorials on Youtube and no results come up an Google, so does anybody know? I use the steam version of portal, but i'm thinking about getting the source unpack version.

I have been speed running Portal for a bit, and have gotten my time down to 25 minutes. I've learned some tricks to speed up my runs, but I still have trouble throwing cubes. I keep trying to figure it out, but it either it doesn't go far or goes off course. Are there any tutorials or tricks that I could learn? Thanks.

When I reach the 19th chamber, Livesplit stops displaying my time for that split. The timer still stops when Portals loading, but it doesn't show the final time. Here's a video Does anybody know why?

I’ve been trying to figure out how to bunny hop in Portal, because I've been running and jumping for pretty much the entire time I’ve had the game. Does anyone know a helpful video or something?

I am really new to speed running and I have a question: If I have a speed run were I finish in about 38 minutes and 20 seconds (Glitch-less) I realized that I would be in about 200th place in the glitch-less category, and about 140th place in the out-of-bounds category. I was wondering if there's some kind of rules about placing the run a separate category to get in a better place, or its just an ethical thing. I'm placing it in the glitch-less category, but i'm just wondering.
