CanadaI don't think they would be no as you have to press the jump key, but i cant remember if it is possible without them. If it isn't, then you can use them.
with the record so low, it seems that a run that is under 2 minutes is just out of reach, so how can we do it ( i advise watching a run with this to keep what i am saying clear) not every skip has to be a lvl 10 or a lvl 13 magnitude of skip, small skips add up as well, and I think they are the first step to getting that second off. immediately what jumps to mind are lvl 3 and 4. perfect lvl 3 is a very good example of a small skip that goes a long way, it can be just enough to push that timer over to the next second. perfect lvl 3 is achieved by hitting the wall jump at precisely the right time so that the miner does not hit his legs on the wall after jumping on the block. depending on how bad you do lvl 3, it can lose you various amounts of time, but i think in order to push to the limit we have to make every run a perfect lvl 3, which is pretty much already the case. the next small skip that i think might push the timer over to 121 is in lvl 4. keep in mind it will only push the timer over to 25 at the end of lvl 4 if you've done perfect lvl 3. usually In all the top runs one of two things happens at the end of the level, either the miner will jump on the green jump pad and into the goal, or the miner will wall jump off of the first jump pad in the row into the goal, with the former being more popular. the key to this skip is in the wall jump. the usual block is actually one pixel or so bigger than the jump pad block. if we look at the first jump pad in the row, there is a block right under it, which can be stood on by holding right and sliding over it. it is possible to jump off of the second jump pad, and then time it perfectly so that the miner stands on that spot, then immediately from that spot, jump into the goal. the jump from this spot into the goal is almost perfect, and if done right, I believe it would get the timer to 25 at the end of the level.
this is mostly common knowledge, but i feel people might have forgot about the lvl 4 time save. i think that this is important for the community to get sub 2 minutes, so i will put my new skip ideas into two more parts for the remaining two seconds unsaved.
Fair enough I admit I do get ahead of myself at times. I'm just glad to see a new person in the community, and I think 2:30 is a respectable time
