Hello, I am still having the problem.

This is what my game looks like once I get past the splash screens at the beginning. I see the Japanese warning splash screen and the Capcom splash screen indicating that the conversion was a success, but I am left with a screen that looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/5UalbAT

Furthermore, the batch file itself indicates that the conversion was a success: https://imgur.com/a/4QC5QTh

How should I move forward?

I have now seen your response on YouTube as well as here. Thank you for responding!

I will fully uninstall via Steam, and then I will run the convertor again once reinstalled. Once done, I will update with the results.

Hello.

I am currently experiencing an issue with my copy of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. I have downloaded the Japanese converter as I intend to start speedrunning the game, and I ran the convertor. It said that the conversion was successful, and it automatically deleted the converter files indicating that it had worked properly.

The issue, however, came when I ran the game to see if the game had properly converted. All of the text was unreadable. The letters were all just blank blocks. I would be able to navigate the menu with Japanese text, but this is unplayable. It happens even with the English letters used in the controls menu.

I ended up verifying the game cache, and got the unhandled exception error. After changing my DEP I was able to launch the game again, but the text issue persisted. I do not know what could be causing this, and I haven't been able to find any solution online.

I use the Steam version of the game, but the convertor readme said it should work with the Steam version as well. Any help is appreciated because I am at a loss right now.
