Hey all! A quick question for anyone who might know,

I know that the VC version is allowed for speedruns of this game, but is it allowed to do runs on the VC version in Dolphin emulator? I know that other speed games for the Gamecube such as Super Mario Sunshine allow the use of Dolphin, but I just wanted to check here first.

If it is not listed on the acceptable emulators list I wouldn't recommend using it. Only use an emulator that is on the list for any game or category so your runs can get verified.

1. Use the emulator Nestopia
2. Get the super mario bros training rom, which allows you to practice any level
3. If you are not comfortable with pipe jumps yet, maybe skip them in runs for now until you can get more practice on the training rom. I also found that watching a lot of smb1 any% speedruns from people like Kosmic, GTAce, Niftski, and many more helped with levels I was stuck when I started out. Good Luck!
