I'm new to speed running, so i have a couple of questions. If i have a PS4 but no capture card, is there a way for me to do a valid speed run?

I really don't want to record from my phone, but if there is no other way, i'll do it. Will my runs be accepted if i record them with a timer from my phone? I also want to know if i ended up buying the capture card, how can i have the timer and the run on the same screen?
