new game+
basically just replaying all the necessary levels on a completed game file but now you have all the badges at your disposal
kinda like subspace's ng+ where you replay each level but now you have all the characters
idea probably sucks idk
In Summoning Salt's newest video about the human limit, he talks about two TASes: a 4:54.26 (considered the human limit) and a 4:54.03 (faster, but currently not possible). In the 4:54.03, he mentions that the TAS involves moving left and right to gain more momentum faster, so that got me thinking. And I've come up with something that probably seems rather outlandish, but it might just work.
After watching that part, I thought "Well, Super Mario Kart players shaved down some small bumps under their D-Pad to get better drifts than the controller originally allowed, right? So why don't Super Mario Bros. players shave down bumps under their D-Pad too (if they have any that is)?". Yep. That's the entire idea. Just shaving any bumps you might have under the D-Pad. But if SMK players can get drifts down straights by doing this, surely it would be possible for SMB players to do the same thing and be able to get momentum faster...right?
title says it all
I just want to know
btw I don't mean right now but at a time we can agree on
Made the thread for recent run discussion.
Anyway, today I finished the first Any% Glitchless run in 25:16.360 and I recorded myself doing the credits as well because why not.
I saw mokmoon's run (which destroyed my wr by about 40 seconds) and I noticed that he got a much faster door than me. How is this possible?
Is it allowed to play through Any% No Cheats in Standard Mode? It's okay if it isn't, I am just asking.
When I look at the leaderboard for Feed Yourself (No VIP, Ingredients) I see that the WR is around 7 seconds ahead of 2nd. So I watch the video, and the title says it was a Feed Yourself (No VIP, No Ingredients) run. So basically, this run was submitted to the wrong leaderboard and still got verified as a WR.
Edit: The runner is Itz_Shiny8 by the way.
There isn't a glitchless speedrun category for some reason...why? There should be one.
Splits are meant to back up video evidence but are they compulsory? Are they really important? Or is it optional?
Hey everybody, ThatEpicNoob here.
I have been interested in speedrunning for a while now, watching videos by Apollo Legend and EZScape so it is time I made my account on Speedrun.com! I will enjoy my time here and post some speedruns once I get the correct equipment. Hopefully I can snatch up a WR of my own!
