Yeah, plus it’s just fun to finally play Cave Story with somebody else!

Not saying there are no runners at all, heck there are a great amount of active and great runners! I just think there needs to be a higher demand, as much as cheat codes would be cool on leaderboards, I respect this community. And maybe when this community does get really popular, there may be possibilities for extensions for all the other miscellaneous categories

@Alara, so what difficulty should the regular setting be? Normal?

@Orange_Teir, I think that would be a good idea, but is Shovel Knight that popular of a speedrun title to have its own extension categories?

I dunno, just having the time start at ‘Start this Scenerio’ just seeems unfair and awkward. I like the idea of using the in game timer, and only using NG+

@bertin but do you still think that times should start at Scenerio Select? I still think you should have time to arrange your battle layout before time starts

I’m gonna say right off the bat that if I sound stupid or stingy or something just tell me immediately. With that said; I think there should be a change to the IL rules. One of the rules are that the time starts after pressing begin this scenario. I think it should be right after you press start battle. Hear me out for a second. Sometimes when you go into a battle, your units are not what you want and are in bad positions. I think you should be able to arrange and pick your units how you want them before you start the speedrun. It just seems better. If I’m stupid or if I’m missing something please tell me because the last thing you need is a uneducated loser who ticks everyone off. Much thanks!

HNX_gaming; lol. As long as your enjoying the game my friend, that’s all that counts. But you should do a any% run so we can laugh at your slip ups. (That was just a joke)

I hate to pester anyone, but I just think that cheat codes vary the gameplay enough to have its own category. It would be separate so it wouldn’t interfere with any% or other routes. Both Shovel Knight and Specter Knight speedruners would have another route option. I repeat, sorry if everybody is set on banning cheat codes but I at least think it should be considered.Me and my friends (and others on the Internet) have done cheated speedruns, and they really enjoy the different codes and variations in gameplay. I feel it should have it’s own category as long as there are interested runners. Thanks for hearing me out!

Hey everyone! So for the Nintendo Switch edition (im not sure about other installments), they added 2 player for Cave Story +! Does anyone else think that a two player speedrun has enough potential to be its own category? It could add extra strategies and differ the run enough. I’ve tested the first 2-3 stages, just playing casually with a friend and it was really fun and I believe there could be some crazy exploits with Co-Op mode. I’d like to hear your guys opinions. So for the new game + speedrun, can you use any character, no matter there level? So like could I use a level 50 Lyn on the first map?
