I'm wonder why Generations doesn't have an auto splitter so better loads aren't advantageous. Colors Ultimate and Lost World has this problem as well iirc. Even Sonic Forces has an auto splitter iirc. Is there like a programming problem or something?

Can't you just add like 2 seconds or whatever the time it is for every cyberspace completion on the top 5-10 old runs on the previous update patches to even it out with the new update 3 patch runs that have a time loss of about 2 seconds for every cyberspace completion? I feel it'd pretty much even the playing field with the old runs while being resourceful. Other speedrun communities do something similar like when a run is under a certain time, they will time those runs without loads. Mario Sunshine runs adds time for the run when skipping the tutorial with the save file. Pretty sure it is around 15 or 16 seconds time loss total when counting all cyberspace stages for any% on update 3 so just simply add around 15 or 16 seconds to the top 5-10 old runs on the previous patches.
