The latter happens just like other normal boss fights, so you can't go back to the main menu officially until you beat BP.

I've been thinking the end timing of Any% Inferno should be changed. Inferno has the Black Pikkard fight after the current end timing so I think time should end after BP dies. But I can also understand "Any%" means beating Story Mode which doesn't include the BP fight. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.
