Ng+ seems to be a tricky subject, it turns out that the difficulty increases with every playthrough you do. I'm hoping that at a certain point it'll cap out and you can playthrough it again without the difficulty increasing. I think that having a save file available with all unlocks and max difficulty available to distribute to others would help people get into it, but I wouldn't worry about it for now I'm not gonna be accepting any runs until I gather enough knowledge about what this new update is capable of and to wait for any updates that may drastically change the run itself. I hope this helps explain things
UPDATE: I have went through and made splits for all categories. IMPORTANT NOTES: Each category has a set of splits that match with a layout be sure the two match when running. These haven't been extensively tested yet so if you run into any issues let me know Run DeSmuMe v0.9.11 Be sure you have the dll moved into your livesplit plugins folder before using these (dll is included in file)

Save Exploit is an old glitch that allowed you to load in weapons and dresses from other save files. It was mainly separated because it was kinda cheesy and it would be patched from the game eventually the only way to run it now is if you had saved a back up of an older version before updating. I've considering removing it as not everyone has easy access to an old version of the game but I didn't want to invalidate the runs of the people who did run it. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to upload an older version to the boards as that would open the gate to piracy
Yeah I can add that I originally wanted to wait until the game was more complete but if you want it now I can add it
I should make a turorial so other people could make it themselves doing one for Chris isn't a bad idea at all
I have been working on an autosplitter for this game and now I'm ready to start testing it publicly.
How to install:
- Download the .zip file below
- Drag the LiveSplit.DeSmuME.dll file into your Livesplit>Components archive
- Open the layout (.LSL) in livesplit
- Open the Splits file (.LSS)
In theory the autosplitter should work now there are somethings you should know before you start doing runs.
- The autosplitter starts and ends automaticlly
- Compare against Real Time (IGT does not work)
- Save often this plugin for livesplit is prone to crashes
- You can edit the layout all you want as long as you don't change anything in the DeSmuMe Autosplitter tab
- Splits are not a requirement to sumbit a run
- I did not make the Livesplit plugin you can check out who did here https://github.com/ShootMe/LiveSplit.DeSmuME
- The only category avalible is for Jill, Classic, Bad Ending
- The splits are for the most current route which can be found here:
- Its possible for changes to be made that may require a reset for splits in the future

I've tas'd this game and messed around with magnification filters, if they made any difference the tas would've de-synced but I found that no matter what the magnification filter changed nothing
I can confirm that the filters have no effect on gameplay, all they do is make the game look better or worse, those 30-45 seconds must be from the fact that you've gotten better
Thanks a ton, and for any questions you may have go ahead and ask away
THE TAS IS DONE!!!!!! It took forever but I have finally finished the full tas of Jill, Rebirth, Bad Ending You can check it out here: All comments I have to make on this are in the video's description
So it has been a while, I have worked on the TAS but not finished it. I have decided to go the route of bad ending. Here is the WIP I have made:
This category would be a nice breath of air for classic runners
You think I should do best ending
I think that version of the first zombie scene is just as fast as the "normal" one, but to me it seems slower if both are pulled off perfectly. As for what I've done in my Rebirth run, it won't be as relevant for making the tas as that run had a lot of mistakes in it
I know but logic that applies to Classic can also be applied to Rebirth, I guess mainly what I'm looking for is movement tech rather than a route
I'm working on a TAS for the Rebirth mode of this game on the Japan release and I'm interested if there are any minor/major optimizations that you have discovered to put in this.
Put in mind that I have already seen the TAS made by Fladdermus and am trying to put somethings I found interesting from that in my tas
