You could just split when a level ends. Most of them end on a loading screen, with the exception being the transition from 5 to 6. For the start of Apotheosis, I would split when you regain control, I think.
Problem with a "Current Version" category is that it gets all messy with 1 patch. Separating by glitches is a little more future-proof.
@a_speedy_gorilla I've been planning on making updated speedrunning guides for ages, but never end up finishing them, so here's a quick explanation for now.
You can clip through those doors that go up and down by dashing at a certain angle (try to copy my cursor position, those clips are even less consistent otherwise). ETABs help in keeping the force going so you're more likely to clip with one dash.
If you don't know how ETABs work, you're basically cancelling the step that stops the dash force from stopping, so you keep dashing as long as the button is held.
ETAB: Hold E -> Tab -> Tab while holding E
(E being Dash and Tab being Parasitism, you can do this even on controller)
Door Clips with ETAB are a little easier, and also allow for clipping though one more type of door (block doors, the ones that close instantly in like 4 frames).
