Yea no reason to be a dick succinct idk why you would want such an uneven playing field on a leaderboard anyway literally makes no sense the main reason you guys want to keep this is because "oh it's been that way just suck it up" like ok... then change it to make it fair lol

And actually PC isnt that much more complicated because if you just add the time at the end of the run it'll solve everyone's problem

You guys are literally saying to the majority cough even more money for a game they already own to compete rather than just adding 15 seconds to a Japanese run (which the Japanese are in the minority so you won't have to do it that often) once you guys verify the runs, like idk what's harder adding 15 seconds to a run once you verify it or having 10 different people from other countries spend another $60 hmmm......

Well maybe I'm just too new too speedruning still doesn't really make sense since you mods have the power to make stuff fair for everyone idk why the developer changes in the game for Japanese regions make guys bend to the Japanese/1 region when everyone else from the world make up 90% of the population of the leaderboards. idk how WR being locked into one region being an old thing of speed running justifys it still, and again I know people will still play my point was how many are still going to go for WR and then when they find out they have to chuck out another $60 i bet most will say never mind as for they already own the game and maybe can't afford to buy the same game they own already because now instead of $60 for RE7 it's now $120 and + the dlc anyway have a nice day guys GL to you all on the runs

And furry yes you are correct I really am only mentioning RE0 and remaster since I'm not too familiar with the details of the speedruns of older resident evils and GameCube versions since ive never played RE on GameCube. I'm really only trying to make stuff fair for this game since I'm running it and know a lot of people who run it. Maybe the people who were running those games should've voiced their opinions more I don't know, It feels like every time someone even tries to make stuff fair they just get completely shutdown by a barrage of mods like how me and that French guy are.

Dude when I say the category is dead I'm in no way shape or form talking about the population or how many runs you have to verify on this game. When you lock WR Attempts into only THREE players (the only three people I know that have the JAP version are the three Japanese players that are in the top 20 that play this game seriously) that is very much a dead category because out of the 110+ runs on NG+ Easy Console how many can even TRY to get WR??? (Like I said for me I'm not to bothered I'll buy the Japanese version and I'm sure the other top 5 players will as well I'm just looking out for the other 99% of people running this game at the moment)

And trust me the console category is very dead with it being locked into a Japanese WR right now, I wasn't talking about the population of the game I know it's the most "popular" resident evil on this website.

I'm not saying the category is dead as in no one is uploading times it's simply dead because only the Japanese/ someone who has a Japanese VERSION can get a WR record at this moment in time. Also what I meant for being people being discouraged except for the top 5 players maybe... is that no everyone wants to spend another $40-60 to buy a game they already own to be able to even "compete" (should've worded it different) in older resident evils all you needed to do was change your language to get faster text scroll which costed how much money... none. You guys only mentioned PS4 being able to obtain the Japanese version what about Xbox that's literally singleing out half of the console players. Also I already mentioned the fact older RE's like remaster could be EVEN due to changing your dialogue to Japanese and I already agreed that the category shouldn't be split into two I was just throwing ideas out for making it as fair as possible without giving up a kidney to compete but if you say Xbox can also get it off of play Asia than I guess that's the problem solved for me I'm just looking out for everyone else.

And eventually someone will get get within 15 seconds of that time I'll be trying once I get back home from Mardi Gras so idk why wait and brush off the problem rather than just finding a good solution I feel like a lot of people are discouraged to even run NG+ EASY since theres no way they can compete with that, the category is dead atm same thing will happen to XERIAN once a serious Japanese player decides to play on PC and pretty much every other category, you guys have a blessed Sunday and Godspeed on the runs

I also feel like the Japanese shouldn't have there own category but something does need to be done about it since everyone cannot obtain a Japanese Censored version/Japanese PS4... Say for example In REMASTER everyone can change there language to Japanese to make the text scroll faster it was an easy way to play on an even field, yes some people did and did not have SSD's but you could get one through the means of what $50 compared to purchasing JAP RE7 and JAP PS4 + shipping which would be god knows what. Either the mods need to add time to the runs for the Japanese when verifying them to make up for the 11-15 seconds time gain the Japanese get or minus that time for same time for everyone else I feel like adding time to there run would be the best soulution since only a few Japanese are seriously running the game ATM

I think the only Resident Evil that doesn't require a full video for not beating WR is RE4 you just need a screenshot of the time but for the REV2 boards a video is necessary because it shows that you did your Gauntlet runs in one sitting rather than segment stages and then edited the video later need the loading screens in between each stage.
