I could try it out and see how it flows
Having retire as an option adds a risk to the hard and expert circuits, which would be interesting
I see, yeah.
Seemed like a good concept though c:
Should the retire option be allowed in runs? Getting 1st is the goal of the game, so is going fast.
We could menu to retire on a course and skip it to save minutes from the run, with the requirement that "You must obtain 1st place"
Or, we could ban the Retire option and say "Retire is banned"
Thoughts?
To answer Retro's question, The vacuum is stronger in NG+ for both versions of the game. To answer Mugg's question, When catching a boo in Butler's Room and Hidden room, we can walk into the mouse hole and skip the text that normally appears when catching boos.
I did a rough comparison between My normal circuit run and JimB's normal circuit run, and oddly enough, it seems the physical copy loads the levels faster.
I'm not sure why this is, though.
The issue with usb/sd loading, is that on the loading screens this will cause the game to load faster. So, in the case of rta, it's a clear and un-fair advantage.
I run Luigi's Mansion and Super Mario Sunshine, and USB/SD loading was banned for that reason.
I'm not sure if this would affect the igt though, considering everything is loaded prior to starting a race.
Emulation may also have faster load times, depending on the hardware of your computer.
As a lurker I don't generally respond to drama and I prefer not to be apart of it, but sometimes it does get a bit out of hand. As a community I feel that we should learn to respect other's opinions and try to handle things in a more mature manner. It's really unfortunate to see a community for a game I love become so divided and hostile towards each other.
Would you like to use this instead? (Hopefully I didn't do a bad job) https://goo.gl/YdgAx4
Is exhibition RTA or can we just time it from In-game time?
Also, you could have the In-Game Time alongside RTA because of menuing
Just a thought :3
