Seeing as this is a low-activity board, I've seen fit to try and tidy up some elements that have been bothering me for a while now. I alone have decided upon these changes, and so if there are any concerns/issues with the changes, please don't blame any of the other mods.

[Design Changes]

• Updated the IL names : they now have their level number along with their continent in front of the level name. I believe this will help make quick identification of which level is which easier.
• Redid the rules, and the rule formatting. Rule changes can be found below.
• Changed the background image to a 1920x1080 version of the game's current key-art.
• Removed the Unnecessary IGT from "Any% IGT" (All times used in ILs are IGT anyway).

[Content Changes]

• Added '50 and Under' as an IL category.
• Changed the Any% Rules.

[Any% Rule Changes]

• Clarified that game breaking exploits such as being able to build outside of the starting box are not valid. As this would remove any semblance of challenge.
• Encourages runs be submitted as a video over an imgur image. Videos are much harder to falsify and just generally allow for a more complete idea of what happened in the run.
• Added a block cap of 1000. Due to the seemingly random way that this game calculates hitbox loading order, I felt that limiting this category to 1000 blocks and under would help prevent RNG-dependent explosions builds from dominating every IL. As well, I believe this will help prevent those with weaker computers from being unable to compete.

[New "50 or Under" Category]

• This category is intended to focus on creating the fastest possible machine with a strict block limit. It inherently removes a lot of the advantage popular strats - such as bomb boosting - have over more traditional vehicles, and provides some unique challenges when compared to the Any% category. I figured that this would be the least disruptive and most interesting category that I could add.

I think it'd be nice to have the option for prospective runners to be able to attempt a shorter speedrun of just a single delivery/story segment.

Gear could be standardized. No matter the run/mission you get a simple kit of maybe 2 ladders, 1 anchor, 2 boots, no frame.

Due to saving, repeating story missions wouldn't be that difficult for your average runner. It's not like you have to replay the entire game to get back to that point.

Maybe instead of all story/standard orders, the mods can go through and hand-pick/survey the community some of the more interesting or dangerous missions that'd present an entertaining run. Meaning there's less leaderboards to manage, and a higher skill level to runs in general.

Kenshireando I believe it'll be set up like the Besiege leaderboards, where you have a page with the main runs (In this case just the all character NG/NG+ categories) and a separate tab you click on the side to view the runs for each character.

I am in favor of cleaning up the leaderboards though. They're messy and hard to look through at the moment. Personally I also think we should try to standardize the version people run the game with. As far as I know the most popular versions are the Remaster, and the Japanese Sega Genesis emulated one. Maybe make a NG/+ category for both of those runs, and if multiple people really want to play JJV or any other version we can cross that bridge when we get there.

Also is there any chance the categories can be renamed to the character's actual names? I know the game calls them Robber Soul and Iced, but IMO it's like how the subbed anime says "Zipperman" instead of Sticky Fingers. Everyone goes by the official translation, so why not do it here as well?

It's nice to see some care being put into these boards though, and I'm happy to see community engagement.

A bit of an odd situation that I'm not 100% sure is a glitch, but so far the only game I follow that I can see a custom theme on is NieR : Automata. I've tried to set Zolg and Besiege's themes, however it seems to have saved all the old theme aspects, and just wont display them. The same goes for my profile.

Any advice is welcome. I do use dark mode if that impacts anything.

Hey, I've been on the site for a while and I thought I'd try my hand at speedrunning "Indecision." (https://www.speedrun.com/Indecision) however it's been a week and there's been no response from the moderator concerning my submission. I messaged the moderator on Twitch (the only contact they have) on Monday and they have not replied to that either. Judging by the fact that their most recent speedrun and was five months ago, their last stream on twitch was five months ago, and they haven't been online for a month, I doubt they will be back anytime soon. Ergo I'd like to be made a moderator of Indecision. if at all possible.

Additionally, it appears the Besiege speedrunning page (https://www.speedrun.com/Besiege) is inactive once more. I've had a pending run for a month now and no-one has verified it. Looking at the admins, they have all been inactive for a month or more, and any attempt to contact them has resulted in radio silence. Since I'm already a verifier there, I wouldn't mind acting as a moderator.

I've noticed the same thing. I've started to get into running this game, but it's a little frustrating to see inaccurately good times for a lot of the earlier levels. I don't know if this is fixable, but if it is, it would be greatly appreciated!
