Yeah i feel like that caters more towards the playstyle most players are used to. mostly the premise for me is just to have a category for people to start on, and expand into other categorys from there. i dont feel like Any% Currently works for that, as it is a stark difference from how most people play the game

Either way. Ive submitted a run, that is barrelbombless. It utilizes Flashes and Traps, but only in quests when your given that item (+ 1 keyquest in 3u enforces capture which is Arzuros). Il see if i can get some contact with a moderator

Hey there. Ive been playing MH since the Tri days 13 years ago, so ive watched/played it for a while, but never actively shown interest in running an MH game Until recently. Ive watched the Any%Ceadus WR Run, and saw that it heavily involved Using Large Barrel Bomb+ Stunlock strats.

Long story short is that with the consistent Damage output barrel bombs have, it takes precedence over any damage a Weapon reasonably could inflict, So how about making a Barreless//Restricted category where Barrels/Other items are bannend (Potions Traps etc) to make the run more viable for different Weapons and strategys? Any thoughts?

Extra note : Naturally it should also be noted, that i know bombing strats but im not good at using them, so there is a bias, but i also feel like speedrunning 3U, would be more fun for me personally, if it leanend more towards perfecting movement and weapon usage, rather than timing barrel bombs, or hoping for granny to have Discounts with good items
