I think I'd prefer ending time on the last Vision clear stop. Might be a good practice for after the run if it is skipped, going back over and showing each vision does have 100% dreamstones

It's been my thought that if we are going to be changing the timing method for the start of the run (because it is pretty ambiguous when the a press is made to start the run) that it be made to start on that first completely black frame immediately after the fade down from the new game file select screen.

I've found it works best with auto splitters, having a reliable starting image to know when the run begins as well as being fairly easy to time to start manually real time. timing this way would only offset runs by a little and will barely lower times and would keep run rankings the same unless we find a run that is timed way wrong to begin with.

More interesting than anything but I found that it's possible to softlock the game by backtracking into a locked door. This prevents movement and Klonoa will be stuck even after resting the game/room or dying and can only be fixed by exiting the level. I've only found spots that work in Visions 3-1 and 3-2 as they have locks right on the edge of the screen that loop back around to the main pathway.

Timer starts when selecting level, timer ends at entering Level door for standard stages, Final Hit for bosses, or "Vision Clear" for hoverboard and autoscroller levels. Video is required

At least that would be my idea of how it can be done.

Edit: Speaking of which, could you please add a 100% full category as well? "Required to start from New File. Timing starts on file select. Timing ends with final hit on 'All Visions Clear' splash screen. Video is required with submission."

A 100% catagory could be put on the IL leaderboards as well, requiering the collection of all moonstones in a level.

I say yes to that, I'm curious as to how much time can be shaved off of each level.

I"d have interest in this. How would we properly time it though?

This is just for the sake of curiosity for anyone who's interested in responding.

I've always really enjoyed Jiobob (world 3), just something really pleasant and fun about it. But I've also taken quite a liking to 2-7 because it flows so well and 4-3 comes from a casual perspective of always liking this arrow based level. 5-3 has been and always will be "THAT" level to me but picking it up and thrashing it in a speed run feels so satisfying.

What are your opinions on this?
