FranceAs I said, for PC as long as you have Steam, you can rebind your controls with non steam game. Indeed I don't know how you could rebind on consoles, but I doubt anyone would try getting Trials WR on console (and I doubt at this point it is even possible)
For trials speedrunning, it can help for wall jump cancel (by binding dash and jump to the same button) or specific strat's in some levels (jump + shoot in TowerForge III).
So I discussed that with members of the TowerFall discord and some Celeste speedrunners, and they seem to agreed that it should/could be allowed as long as the players are not using macros and it's fairly accessible. For the last point, I think that it's good because some steam feature let you rebind controls like that even with non steam game, and even without a third party app, I believe you can do the same (even though I never got it to work).
What do you think of assigning different actions to one button? Should it be banned?

It does impacts the timer for Full Game run since it's timed RTA, but it doesn't matter for ILs runs (you can even submit a screenshot for ILs runs if it's not a wr)

You should speak in English in src if you want us to understand what you asked. Then this glitch is called "the warp", it's only doable on version 1.0.2 and previous. There is all the explanation on the server though
I think it's because there is no Time without loads on your run

What ? You play games because there are on mobile or on PC ? I don't understand your logic, if someone want to play this game especially on an emulator, why not ? Who are you to say that there is no reason to play the game on PC ? I'll show you what you say don't make sense :
"the addition of an emulator might help the game grow a bit, but only in that category", why would it bad ? In addition, not everyone can play on an emulator and therefore current mobile gamers will likely continue to play on mobile;
" 'why run this on emulator when you can run SMBoy?' " I don't know, maybe because it's not the same game ?? "the fact that it's on mobile adds a whole different feel to the game", yeah that's especially why we didn't event talk about remove the mobile leaderboard;
"the times you get on emulator can be uploaded to the GooglePlay leaderboards" it's certainly impossible, "seeing the "legit" runs being beaten by somebody on emulator would be pretty unfair", and this is absolutely stupid because you don't have any power on people who would run the game on emulator and upload their times on Google Play; src don't allow runs on emulator that would be upload in this site, you can't refuse runs from Google Play if they are even not submit (this is just logic, trust me);
For me, it just seems like you just don't want to update the leaderboard for other reasons but not these. I think you're just too lazy and the idea of promoting someone else to do this would be against your stupid principles.

Ok well forget that, this is definitely not a good idea. Let me explain : it just completely messed up all the leaderboard because there are a lot of runs like in the ILs Category that didn't inform about the difficulty or the number of players, so there are a lot of runs that won't be shown if you add for example "number of players'' as a subcategory. Furthermore if you add "number of players" or "difficulty" as subcategories, all the trials runs won't be shown for the same reasons, and if I choose the subcategories "difficulty" only for the category "Quest/Dark World", the runs in "Full-game" category on hardcore won't be shown too. SRC doesn't let us change the categories and the subcategories as we want so I think the better option is to let the settings as they were.
I changed some variables as subcategories but I think that it's not better because the page seems much too crowded while there are so few runs in the 2 players or hardcore subcategories for exemple. Maybe I should add these subcategories only for the levels category, tell me what you think about it
I'm an old player of the game but I never submitted a run or even talk about the game here. But I think that make a discord would centralize all the discussions and discoveries of the players and could perhaps allow to bring in new players who would have immediate access to all the resources that the players would have to offer. Tell me if if there is anything new about this, that would be really cool ! Thanks
